In my opinion, that's a sign of a well-developed protagonist. You can actually get attached to the character, despite knowing that they're fictional and when they die, you're actually upset. I know that I still find myself hoping Dumbledore will not die when I rewatch Harry Potter. Same with characters like Mufasa in Lion King. I've seen those movies so many times and know what will happen, but part of me keeps wanting to see the character make it through to the end.

"I can't mod my game to make her killable"? Yes you can, there are a shite ton of mod that let you kill essential NPCs. Or are you afraid that you may kill someone like Jarl Bulgruf by accident and break the game?

When I said that I can't mod my game to kill Delphine, I mean that I can't mod my game at all. My computer is a Mac, so I don't have the PC version of Skyrim. I have the Xbox360 version, which I can't use mods on. I'm working on getting a PC, thanks to my boyfriend, but for now, I'm stuck with a modless Skyrim and an essential Delphine that Lina is still trying to kill.

, really, you blocked me without giving me a chance to state a further opinion on the subject? So mature.
But I'm still going to take the time to send a reply this way:
Define "useless Shout powers" because the Shouts I gained from Paarthurnax are the ones I use the most frequently in the game. Maybe they were useless to you, but not to me. And you forget that Paarthurnax did in fact, directly engage in the battle against Alduin at the Throat of the World when Delphine was not around during that fight. I'm not going to claim Delphine was useless, but I will say that I found Paarthurnax to be more useful than her in terms of actually beating the main quest.
I'm speaking from a biased standpoint when I go against Delphine and I'm not going to pretend otherwise. I found Paarthurnax to be a much more likable character than Delphine just based on character interactions. And half the time I'm speaking from Lina's perspective, which is equally biased, if not more so. The most basic description I can give of her character is "impulsive pyromancer," so this picture is depicting her in-character reaction. At this point, she has grown attached to Paarthurnax and cannot rationally decide on the best course of action, so she acts irrationally and goes crazy with the fire spells.
When did I compare her to the racist characters or murderers? I actually dislike or completely hate a number of the racist NPCs, especially among the Thalmor and I wasn't too found of the Thieves Guild or Dark Brotherhood quests. So I really don't see where this warrants accusations of hypocrisy. Yes, I hate Delphine to the point of having Lina set her on fire, but I hate characters like the Thalmor and the Black-Briars even more.

Yeah. Paarthurnax really has been doing everything possible to redeem himself--learning how to control his urges to seek power, helping the Dragonborn, and even directly battling Alduin at one point. And he's the only dragon who is on the Dragonborn's side from the beginning. Even Odahviing was hostile towards the Dragonborn when he first appeared.

Yeah, because Paarthurnax (genocide warlord dragon) who "committed unspeakable atrocities against mankind", did nothing but sit on mountain top so he wouldn't have to face any kind of reputation, gives you a flashback, teaches you useless shout powers and does very little to stop the other dragons since they still appear even after you kill Alduin...
But you give no reason(s) whatsoever as to why and Delphine deserves it at all, her job, along with the rest of the Blades, are to kill Dragons and save the world... what were you expecting from her????
When you compare her to other characters who are racist to non Nords or who are just straight up murders and even torture people... you and the rest are just dumbass hypocrites...

Lina: You'll regret mocking a dragon
Odahviing: Indeed. You are a fool if you think I am just some common beast. YOL TOOR SHUL!
Ha! You fell for my own illusion spell. I am not in chains and neither is Lina. Instead, you are in a dungeon below the Embassy, surrounded by dead Thalmor.

Odahviing: *annoyed growl* Consider yourself lucky it is I who you are mocking and not Alduin. If he were present, you would already be dead.
Lina: I can speak Dragon Tongue and not just to Shout. The only language finer is my native tongue and just barely. But you are a strange one. You consider me impure because I have no allegiance to the Thalmor when biologically speaking, I am as much of a purebred Altmer as they are.
Looks like we have some illusionception going on right now, so allow me to add another layer. You and the Thalmor are under a far stronger illusion spell than the one you believe I am under. My illusion spell allows the Thalmor to believe their plan is working long enough for me to send an assassin to wipe out the Embassy. And I have already contacted the Dark Brotherhood.
