You know, for first time of making pixel art is pretty impressive, i can give you that!
However if you want to get serious with pixel art, I'd suggest to keep pixel art small, it is much effective than big one.
I wouldn't recommend gradient shadow to make them look pop. Instead, use simple basic colour to make it look standout ^o^
Even though the colours were rich and warm which I really like. I think the lineart could use some work on it, it need to be thin lineart

i was i need of some criticism since i a lot of wrong is going on with this drawing but i couldn't figure it out by myself x).
the thing is i used a specific brush instead of lowering the resolution, i just don't know how to make it look decent with those disgusting pixels that gives me my program so if you ever know how to handle that i would appreciate it :V

Hmm, try to lower size of brush so you might have cleaner line. Then again you didn't use SAI to draw, right?
I don't know which art program you have at the moment 
I usually make pixel art in SAI but because I set my project to work on game, I brought 'Aseprite' which is specific made for pixel art related
OH MAN, Aseprite is the best thing I ever brought! it can be confusing at first on layout of program but you'll get used it ^^
It's on Steam so you gotta have to pay for it or on their own site. I only use Aseprite when it come to tilesets and certain things
On Sai I make pixel art freely as I please ^_^ Hope that helps ya
