Origin of Name: Bat+Boomerang= Batrang.
Based on: A Grey-headed Flying Fox, a large bat species native to Australia and a boomerang.

BST: 40/40/55/35/65/80 = 315

*Pokemon retaliates if hit by a phasing move. (Does not switch out)
(Ex: Whirlwind, Dragon Tail, etc.)

*New Move: Cyclone
Category: Special
Type: Flying
Power: 80
PP: 15
Accuracy: 95%
The user spins the opposing Pokemon in a spiral of powerful wind. This may also leave those Pokémon confused.
-Note: Cyclone hits all opposing Pokémon in Double Battles. In a Triple Battle, Cyclone will only hit opposing adjacent Pokémon.

Batrang’s design is more or less the same, save for the removal of the claws on its wings. I thought they looked rather awkward, so I replaced them with little paw pad marks instead. Cyclooma’s gonna be receiving the same treatment soon as well. Stay tuned.~

*cough* Okay, now with that outta my systems...Batrang, the Zubat of my region returns!

As with Macrab, Batrang got a heavy overhaul, although Batrang got more of a change than that of Macrab. Colors were changed completely to that of the animal I based it on (I used the older coloring as the shiny form however.). The head was also changed to that of a more fox-like shape than to that of the general fanged bat look. Lastly, the tail still resembles a puff of wind but now looks more like a fox's tail.

As the Marble entry says, Batrang learns Tailwind via level up. As the true user of Boomerang, Batrang is perfect for stopping phasing foes in their tracks. Not only that, but Batrang learns Whirlwind and Rapid Spin. Got Spikes? No problem. Rapid Spin 'em away as you avoid damage by flying (Just watch for Stealth Rock). Opponent giving you trouble? Take what they can't do to you and phase them away with Whirlwind! If none of those tickle your fancy, Confuse Ray, Supersonic, and other general Bat Pokemon moves are also learnable.
