Origin of Name: Malevolent+Pyrausta= Malivaust.
Based on: A European Dragon and the Pyrausta, a species of mythological insect-sized dragons from Cyprus.

BST: 95/140/90/85/90/80= 580

*Physical attacks to the Pokémon lower its Defense stat but sharply raise its Attack stat.

=============================

EDIT(02/14/17): Ability change!

With the advent of Gen VII, Berserk became the signature move of Drampa. As such, I got some comments about needing to rename Berserk over the past couple of months. Rather than a simple name change, I decided to change the ability completely as I feel Berserk’s initial effect was a tad too overpowered in regard to how strong Wyvaust/Malivaust were stat-wise. Now their new hidden ability is Rage Mode, aka Rage in ability form! The more physical punishment received, the stronger the damage output! If you aren’t careful, you could be faced with a full scale sweep! Take advantage of that defense drop!

EDIT(09/05/14): Added BST provided by !
EDIT(06/04/13): New display template and shiny coloration!

Here comes the heavy hitter, the Pokemon of ill will towards humanity, and one of my first Fakemon ever designed, Malivaust!

This overhaul was to match the drastic changes done to its previous stages. Like Wyvaust, it still keeps most of its features, like the overall shape. However, I've removed Malivaust's second pair of appendages and added a larger scaled pair of talons. The body was further based on a more draconic approach (as evidenced by its antennae becoming horn-like), yet still keeping the insect feel from what its based on.

Malivaust is the definition of raw strength. Its bulkier appearance has undermined its speed by a bit, but in turn has made its stats explode when it comes to offense. The powerful Hyper Beam and Giga Impact are now usable due to being fully evolved, in addition to its normal movepool. Dragon Rush, a Dragon-type move among many it can learn is gradually increased in power thanks to its ability, Rage Mode. This destructive attack power becomes even worse as Malivaust hits like a truck after receiving physical damage. You'd best be careful not to anger this already cruel-hearted Pokemon on the battlefield...

Oh my, imagine baton passing a speed boost into Malivaust, then let its ally use bullet seed on it.

The Hidden Ability on the pic still reads "Berserk" instead of "Rage Mode". :/

Awesome design, though! This has always been one of my favorites from your region and I'd totally ride one into battle any day.

I like this Fakemon, but you may need to change the name of berserk since there is an actual ability of that name now.

Great work though

Guess he'd also have to change Bite Force since Strong Jaw is a thing as of Gen 6.

niksmom1 [2016-06-07 07:58:54 +0000 UTC]

Hmm, just HOW extremely spiteful can they be to the ones they love?
Cause' honestly, these seem they are just as cruel as a Malamar, only with highly increased brutality added. Just how hard do they attack skilled trainers? (Not even bothering to ask how young, since they clearly seem to not hold differences attacking young individuals.)

Do even the most obedient, closely bonded, happy Malivaust with their trainers still give occasional scars and bruises (or even bone breaking)?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Dragonith In reply to niksmom1 [2016-06-07 19:10:47 +0000 UTC]

The Pokedex entries kinda over exaggerate it a bit. While the good majority of Malivaust tend to be violent to even their own trainers, there are those that are affectionate to their trainers. This obviously would depend on the individual/amount of experience.

Though, even affectionate Malivaust may unintentionally leave scars. Think of it like hugging a Cacturne.

Well, I'm definitely naming mine Sombra (bonus points if you get the reference)

Jolly Nature (don't you just love ironic natures?)
252 EVs in Speed and Physical Attack Power, 4 in HP
Berserk for the Ability
Leftovers/Lum Berry for the held Item
With the moves;
-Dragon Claw
-X-Scissor
-Rock Slide/Earthquake (assuming it can learn either of them)
-Protect (why you might be asking? So it can capitalize on its power while not taking any damage, of course)

It's a false pseudo-legendary actually (e.g. Flygon, Haxorus, etc). Still insanely powerful though. The true pseudos are Drakid's and Xenoder's lines.
