Description
Got bored out of my mind, was looking at some deviations I did about my Pokémon Teams and decided to do a team of all middle stage evolutions just for the heck of it. I won't list any of my Pokémon's moves, genders or abilities, but I will give a reason why I chose these Pokémon. I will also be turning off the comment section on this deviation to avoid harmful comments. If you wish to make you own team, just go to the link on the deviation.
Let me explain how this team works. This is a team consisting of all middle stage evolutions. That means it's a team of Pokémon who can evolve further, but still have potential in their second stage. These are guys you can level up to level 100 and still evolve later on if need be. While I prefer to fully evolve my Pokémon, there are some middle stage evolutions I like. Some of these guys I even prefer to keep in the middle stage because their final forms aren't the best design-wise.
1. Pikachu- The mascot of the whole franchise. One of the cutest dudes around. He is Ash's strongest Pokémon and best friend. I chose Pikachu because his pre-evolved form Pichu evolves into Pikachu if it has a strong enough bond with its trainer. Pikachu also becomes Raichu, one of my favorite Electric types/generation 1 Pokémon.
2. Roselia- Budew evolves into Roselia when its friendship with its trainer is high enough. Roselia later evolves into Roserade, one of my favorite Grass types/favorite Poison types/favorite generation 4 Pokémon. I also had a Roselia figure that I used to play with all the time as a kid.
3. Haunter- Haunter may not be as powerful as Gengar, but Haunter has potential. While I would want to evolve my Haunter into a Gengar, I can still make use of Haunter if need be. The only thing I like about Haunter more than Gengar is the fact that Haunter has Levitate as its ability while Gengar doesn't. Gengar had Levitate as its ability up until generation VIII where they replaced it with Cursed Body. While cursed body is a handy ability, I think Gengar should've kept Levitate to avoid damage from Ground type moves.
4. Electabuzz- This is a Pokémon who I prefer in the middle stage because of the design. He was one of the original 151. I think he looks better like this and like some fans, I'm not too keen on Electvire's design.
5. Magmar- I love this fire breathing dinosaur. He was one of the original 151. His evolved form Magmortar is a joke. Magmortar looks so freaking stupid looking with those big lips. I also think he deserves a decent looking tail like Magmar's or Magby's.
6. Rhydon- Another one of the original 151 that I prefer over the evolution. Rhydon was the first Pokémon ever designed. Rhyperior may be stronger but according to Poke Dex entries, Rhyperior gets dumber upon evolving. Also, I'm not too keen on Rhyperior's design.
