This was originally designed to be my Holiday e-mail of 2005, and then my scanner died
So much of the Solstice celebration is taken from Scandinavian history, I wanted to capture some of its magick and power with Odin and his familiars. Hugin and Munin deliver the message of Baldr's death by dropping a sprig of mistletoe, the plant responsible for taking the life of the light of the gods. Geri and Freki stand by his side as the news sinks into Allfather's mind. My favorite myth EVER!This was the last of the 2005 artworks.
