Featuring a future planned/likely event - Raii's promotion to Commander.

In front of the Army Fort, there are three very tall pillars used in promotion ceremonies. When a Lieutenant is promoted to Commander, they take their place on the middle pillar. Their Division's General stands on the tallest pillar, swearing them in. On the lowest pillar is the new Commander's Regiment Lieutenant, the second in command, or Squire. (If Squire, and if at least one of the Commander/Squire pair is a clan dragon, the Squire will fly their clan banners - with the Commander's clan banner above the Squire's, as it is flown anywhere else.)

When a Lieutenant is promoted to Commander (or a Commander is assigned to a different Regiment, which is rare), their entire (new) Regiment is present, grounded and looking up at the pillars. The Commander is to look at them and swear their service to the Regiment.

When a Commander is promoted to General (or a General changing Divisions), the process is the same, only the entire Division and General of the Army is present.

Lieutenants are promoted more frequently, and these ceremonies are smaller (unless the Regiment gaining a new Commander also gains new Lieutenants). Usually no General is present, and the top pillar remains empty. This pillar is only for Generals. When a Lieutenant is promoted, they are sworn in by their Commander (standing on the middle pillar), and their Platoon is standing below - often, many others in the Regiment also attend. There isn't a ceremony for Lieutenants switching Platoons.

The middle pillar is reserved for Commanders, though during a General's promotion, the General stands on the middle pillar while the General of the Army occupies the top pillar. Lieutenants always use the lower pillar. It is forbidden to land on or touch these pillars outside of ceremonies, and doing so is considered an insult to the Army and its officers, and is punished harshly.

Behind the pillars fly the Division (middle) and Regiment (side) banners. Every Division and its Regiment banners have a set color scheme. The color scheme of First Division is black and dark grey.

Characters are the First Division General, Tormer (younger brother of Tordner), Raii , and Teslius .
