Description A bust I sculpted in 2004. He has a removeable helmet/cowl. This is about 7 inches tall and made from sculpey and fimo... I got a bunch cheap and mixed them together. Painted with acrylic paints.

Hi! Thanks for the comments... for texture I usually use things like dental tools, ballpoint pens, one good cheap tool are bamboo/wood skewers, available at any grocery store for a buck or 2 for a bag... I usually smooth out fingerprints and what not with rubbing alcohol and a soft paint brush.

Thanks! Yes I think it's important to be able to remove your hat! What if his head got hot or he needed to sing the national anthem!? Then where would he be!

Wow, I never even thought about needing to be able to sing the national anthem. He would be admist many dirty looks if he couldn't remove his hat! But a least he is classy enough not to have a wardrobe malfunction...

I don't think I've ever seen anyone make goblins look even remotely apealing before, this one is kind of cute

Thanks! I don't know if I should really call him a goblin, I guess I apply the term to any humanoid warrior beastie who isn't clearly some other type of creature, like a wolf or dragon. He's really more of a gargoyle when I think about it.

That makes sense, though just the look of him strikes me as some sort of comedic sidekick, I think he's got a sort of halflingish air to him, which is what I generaly associate with goblins, be it malicious or just goofy. He could easily be something else intirely though.

This is amazing!

I love the idea that the goblin looks reptillian. Almost dragon-like. I've never imagined goblins like this but now that I've seen it I know for sure that it won't leave my mind in a hurry.

Great job

Thanks- glad you like my little twist on the goblin theme! I kinda think of him as more orc-like in a sense, with a twist of dragon and gremlin thrown in for good measure.
