Description More or less.

So the sketch was all cool ( [link] ), and then I decided I should do something cool, unusual, and go to bold new heights in this picture.

Well, I went somewhere.

It looks all right for my first shot at whatever I was trying to do, although I realized I want to go for a style that's not so painterly.

I also realized I never draw backgrounds. OH NO.

Whoa, pretty awesome stuff there. Also to heck with backgrounds, me and them don't get along well either. XD

Very interesting! Tis very awesome! No backgrounds?...so what, I barely draw any myself, and if I do, they look horrible(because of my stupid style). Extremely fantastic job!

Very good! The subtle use of outlines make it quite nice! So what if you don't draw backgrounds? They are not always important.

Yeh, in my art, the emphasis is on the character -- art can indeed be cool without a background, just depends where one places their emphasis. Thanks for the comment, there. XD

Exactly. As long as it accomplishes what we want done, then that is all we need in art. As long as we place proper emphasis, then it is successful.

You're welcome!^^
