Description Keero rests atop his balcony calmly, watching the goings on of the city of Calirest. Living along the wall of the large city, the gryphon has adopted the job of drak catcher. Feral draks that have been abandoned are either found by the gryphon or brought to him. He has a bad habit of keeping a lot, however, so it may take a bit of work to convince this gryphon you really want to care for the drak in question.

House Layout

The Home of the Drakkari Gryphon has tall walls around it, to keep the drakkari from wandering off too far. The large wrought iron gate has intricate scrollwork from days gone past, and though the two gates do not match, they latch just fine. They sit open most days, however, purely to invite those who want to adopt. The courtyard is vast, usually populated with drakkari and several other creatures that sometimes come to play. Overgrown bushes line the inside walls of the courtyard and the small manor, though the bushes along the house are rather tattered due to the younger drakkari that tend to use them as springboards. Wild flowers crop up randomly in the tall grass, often getting eaten by the draks too quickly to grow. Along the left hand side of the courtyard is another wall, separating the small, overgrown garden from the rest of the yard. The drakkari generally do not enter the quiet area, except for the various plant types, keeping the place untouched. A large fountain dominates the small yard with moss and ivy growing everywhere. Here and there are touches where someone's tried taming the place, but either hasn't succeeded or hasn't had the time. The fountain, however, works just fine without any care and the benches around it are kept clean.

On the right side of the courtyard is a flat open area with rocks, sand and other debris strewn haphazardly around. A sort of impromptu landing pad for the flighted types as Jaron and Jetaia often take the winged draks out for excersize every now and again. When not in use by the gryphon of one of the drakkari, its a playground of hide and seek among the larger rocks along the far side to finding exploration for the little ones.

On to the Rooms...

Earth - Ground Room
Inside the doorway is a short hallway. To the left is a wide archway with an open safety-gate. The room itself is warm browns and oranges with a contrast of blue and white wallpaper running along the top of the walls. The lower half of the walls are reinforced with a sturdy plastic coating, protecting from the rambunctious occupants of the younger earth types. Thick leather balls, stuffed with beans are strewn around the place, their worn surfaces attesting to the many jaws that have scuffed the beanballs and carried them around. Several sturdy flat pedestals and stone-like pillars grace the room for the earth types to rest on or play around. The large floor to ceiling windows remain open most of the day and only closed during bad weather, providing another way out of the manor beyond the front door. Several earth type babies are curled in a sleepy pile in the corner amidst pillows, making them difficult to see at times.

Ice - Tundra Room
The doors are split like a barn and the room is noticably colder. Walking inside, one notices several iceboxes and the ice drakkari start slithering forward curiously to inspect the newcomers and asking for pets. Not so many pillows here, but there are several potted plants and a large jaccuzzi tub in the back. Water is strewn everywhere due to the playful draks in the tub, so the floor can be rather treacherous if one isn't careful. A detailed warning sign is set up next to the door.

Air - Cloud Room
small-ish room with cloud-like pillows everywhere - literally. Several pillows are attached to the ceiling and walls, while there are supports and mounted catwalks along the walls and miniature bridges spanning several areas. Airdraks flutter around, some lazily dozing, while younger ones chase one another around the 'clouds'. Looking much like a cathouse, this room clearly houses the air types, though the larger hybrids remain closer to the floor, happily dozing on the fluffy pillows found there. The large far wall has a bubble window that dominates the entire wall, letting in plenty of light and sun.

Fire - Coal Room
There's a large grated fireplace with several fire types around it and one firedrak that always tries to get into the fireplace. Because of the fire, this room is generally warmer than the rest and the walls show various scorch marks, attesting to just who 'owns' this room: the fire drakkari.

Plant - Garden Room
While small in size, it more than makes up for it in lush greenery. While outside the manor, the plants may look beaten down, in here they are well kept by the plant types that sniff around and carefully groom and tend to their plants. This room is open to the sky, letting in plenty of fresh air and sunlight, though there is a dome that keeps most of the rain out.

Lightning - Sunshine Room
Strewn with large, rubbery beanbag pillows, the static crackle in the air warns visitors just who this room belongs to: the lightning types. Large open windows let in plenty of light and the varied drakkari are either sleeping or playfighting. Occasionally, a beanbag gets shoved into another's face playfully, but generally they're too heavy to move easily.

Spark - Pup Room
The left room is large, open, with a covered balcony to keep the sparkies from floating away. The ceiling looks to have been painted with a dawn sky, the stars still twinkling through the vibrant color. Plenty of windows let in light and the room is - as usual - strewn with pillows in varying stages of torn and chewed. Lots of chew toys dumped across the floor as the tiny dog-like spark drakkari immediately surround newcomers, tails flapping and thumping each other as they try to impress.

Dark - Shifty Room
To the right of the top of the stairs is the large, open room with plenty of feathers strewn about. Dark babies attack the feathers and other toys playfully, but generally remain aloof from visitors. While there are plenty of windows upstairs, most have heavy drapes closed across them, with the dark types napping in the cool shade.

Other
Dining Area
Moving further into the manor, the staircase goes up just past the right hand room entryway. Further into the house, is a hallway. To the right is what might have once been a dining room, the pillars looking worn and scratched, but near the top, the carvings are still faintly visible. No large dining table and chairs, however, just a few half-empty bowls of food strewn around. Several draks are always in the kitchen, though behind the counter is off-limits. A tall iscaelin smiles and waves at you from behind the counter where he 'hides' from the draks while he cooks for both the enormous gryphon 'overlord' and the dozens of drakkari that live under the roof.

Back Yard

Moving past the house itself and out into the backyard, visitors find a large man-made lake with several smaller pools along the edges, looking like hot springs with the tinge of mineral scent and the heat rising from several. The other end of the lake is cooler and a bit deeper, for the larger, more lethargic of water drakkari. A small dock is built a little to the right of the doorway, with a small boat tied, bobbing gently.

~*~

That said, if you're interested in an abandoned or rehomed drak, talk to Keero. He will ask you some questions, probably come across as hostile, but in the end, he'll give you a job to do. That could be anything from finding something specific on an explore (or finding a player who had one and buying it), to interacting with the drak for a certain amount of days. The choice is up to the gryphon, of course.

Link to the available drakkari: Keero's Cave
Some Basic Rules to Adopt

1) You must already have an ADULT drak. This is to prove you have what it takes to raise a drak. These draks have already been abandoned once. They will not like being discarded a second time.
Exception: New Players can still adopt the babies as their first drak, but only one. After that, Rule 1 still applies.
2) You cannot have more than 3 babies of your own at the time of your attempt. The drakkari are here to grow and be played with, not be adopted and just sit there. We have drawn in four stages for a reason, so please make use of them?
Five baby limit applies to ALL players. However, a drak that has had a Scroll of Eternal Youth used on them, no longer count as babies.
3) There are entirely too many abandoned to this house
4) List of Possible Requirements Keero may ask for. This is subject to change and/or be added to as admins see fit. If you feel your requirement is too challenging for you, let us know!
5) ...

People:

Keero - master of the house and joat (jack of all trades)

Jaron - caretaker of water and dark

Jetaia - caretaker of plant and air

Arelia - cook

Meiron - caretaker of lightning and spark

Ryordin - caretaker of fire and earth

She had a thing for exotic creatures, that much was for sure. After her daughter, Roxanne, had brought home Amaterasu, she just HAD to have a drak of her own. The young daughter of the Queen suggested they seek out the mighty griffon Keero as Roxanne had swore she overheard that the mighty griffon was known for caring for draks that had been abandoned. However, mother and daughter had gotten horribly lost looking for the majestic Keero, Calirest was a massive city. “Keero! Keero! Where are you!” Roxanne exclaimed as Amaterasu followed behind her, she had grown now, she was now a teen.

“Roxanne! Keep your voice down! If the griffon doesn’t want to be found who’s to say he will not be hostile towards someone calling his name!” Anna scolded. Roxanne shrugged, “Well...do you want to find a drak of your own or not?” “Roxanne inquired. Anna shrugged, “Your father is usually the one calling it quits, but for once in my life I am actually afraid to be someplace I don’t know.” Roxanne more or less ignored her mother’s words and they continued walking until they came across a massive wall. “Twenty dallions says this is Keero’s place” Roxanne said before venturing into the courtyard. “Roxy!” Anna scolded following her with Amaterasu in tow. “There is such a thing as trespassing!” Anna exclaimed as they approached the massive mansion.

The slim violet gryphon watched from the upper balcony, an ear flicking idly at the sound of his name being called repeatedly. His eyes half-lidded from the slight breeze that ruffled his feathers - the only motion the gryphon displayed. Elegantly sprawled on the mahogany wood that complimented his rich color, the gryphon's wings were half open to let the wind dry the feather painting, giving him the look of peacock feathers on the inside of his wings, blending in perfectly with the natural spots to remain subtle. He enjoyed the playful breeze and finally turned his head as the pair of...humans?...entered the manor grounds.

An inquisitive plantdrak peered out of the nearby bushes at the pair, curiously poking through and tipping closer. His leaves flattened at the scolding tone and ducked into the grass, hiding in plain sight with his green/brown mottled coloration. A black earthdrak tilted her head and snorted, leaning over from the rocks and snorting again at the fluttering airdrak as an entire hoard of air drakkari suddenly swooped on the loud woman, playfully flicking her hair, cheeping with laughter and generally being a nuisance. The gryphon far above them smirked. So the one had a drak already. Good.

Roxanne was caught rather off guard as air draks started to swarm her. As for Amaterasu, it did not bother her in the slightest. She playfully cheeped back and fluttered around chasing her fellow kin. Anna stayed back a little bit before Roxanne coaxed her forwards. "See? They're perfectly harmless!" the young girl said. Anna watched Amaterasu play with the other draks and it brought a faint smile to her face. "Let's..just find the gryphon" Anna said moments later. Anna found herself look around before she looked up, seeing something on a balcony above, or so she thought. Was it the gryphon?

Anna proceeded towards the massive house while her daughter seemed preoccupied with the other draks. Anna was hesitant but she knocked on the door. When no one answered she slowly opened the door, coming inside the massive house. It was extravagant, clearly the gryphon had good taste. She looked about, it seemed far too quiet. She stayed in her spot in front of the door and she cleared her throat. "Hello? Is anyone here?" she inquired.

"Hi!" came a cheerful voice, but the owner didn't appear immediately. When she wasn't acknowledged immediately, Jetaia giggled and waved, bringing Anna's attention upwards to where the young woman was sprawled, hanging upside down from the upper story balcony. Startlingly dangerous but for the sheer number of plant drakkari surrounding the girl and several clearly watching her to make sure the young woman didn't fall. A long, thin, green tail was securely wrapped around Jetaia's leg should she slip. Taia waved again when she saw she had the newcomer's attention and grinned. "Keero's being waspish and anti-social today, sorry," the girl apologized with a strange upside-down shrug, then finally stretched and curled upwards to end up on the balcony. A few minutes later (and loud thumping of the staircase along the right side of the room), and the girl reappeared on the ground floor, looking as if she hadn't just charged down a full flight of stairs. A good half of the plants followed her, oozing down the stairs and returning to their 'assigned' posts around the girl as if they were overprotective nannies. Taia rolled her eyes and pushed one good-naturedly then held up her hand to Anna.

"I'm Jetaia Herondale! My da's the groundskeeper, so I've sort of inherited the plant drakkari keeper spot." The girl grinned and shrugged as one of the dames bumped her head against the girl's back, making the young woman giggle. "What sort of drak are you interested in?" The girl tilted her head, clearly curious about just what Anna was, but had the tact not to ask. She certainly wasn't an iscaelin, that's for sure.

The woman was only slightly taken off guard by the scene. She watched as the young girl descended only to be accompanied by several draks. It was then that her young daughter, Roxanne, joined her. "Well, my daughter informed me of these creatures. She adopted one, named Amaterasu. She believes there might be a creature here I could bond to. She insists it would be good for me after the death of my husband, a companion animal so to speak. As if my menagerie back home wasn't enough." Roxy waved her hand at Jetaia and Amaterasu cooed before she nuzzled Roxy's face. It was then that the young woman intervened, "I think Mom needs something sparky! Like...electricity! My Mom is feisty and she needs something feisty too!" Anna instantly scoffed, "Thank you for making the decision for me, daughter dearest..."

"Not a problem!" Roxanne replied and Amaterasu almost seemed to laugh before hopping to Roxanne's opposite shoulder. Anna sighed and she looked at Jetaia. "I suppose my daughter is right on some aspect, I am interested in lightning or spark draks."

The cloaked man looked rather deformed as he moved inside the grounds, looking about curiously from the enormous hood. The 'deformation' on his shoulders resolved into a little lightning drak as she curled her head to look around herself, then chirped at her owner. Kafka smiled and raised his hand to steady her as she shifted. The red elf didn't know the first thing about adopting a drak, though he knew how to care for them, of course. Tsillah had given him several and he thought he'd been happy with that, but Tesla wanted another companion and the glowdrak padding at his side wasn't excitable enough, apparently. He chuckled as she squirmed out of the hood entirely and fluttered free, dropping the hood to reveal the curling ram horns and enormous deer-like ears. Kafka shook his hair free of the hood and sighed, then moved up the path to the doorway. Figment paused to sniff at a curious plant and gave her a lick, but caught up with the long-legged elf with a quiet yip.

Kafka relaxed slightly when he caught sight of the white butt of the taishogun and chuckled, creeping up behind Leona and patting her rump lightly, careful to keep out of range of her hooves at the same time. " 'Ello."

A foot snapped out automatically, accompanied by a plume of flame at the all too homid 'greeting', ears flat. Leona rolled her eyes at the voice hiwever, turning toward the strange elf with a snort. "Hello, d-ul Hotoro." she supplied, tail flicking as the flames continued to wisp through the air, steadily lightening until Hitodama appeared. The willspo crackling up at the pair curiously.
Behind the rahn a shadow crept through the grass, the lean shape moving easily and low across the ground. Suddenly he lunged, wings flaring, and landed atop their guest with a gale of frost against the cloak. Ice crackling against the grass instantly as wind slammed against them; then his tail began wagging. Leona laughed openly at the antics, and the look on both drakkari's faces, not to mention that of their owner.
Almost as soon as the snow vacated his shoulders however a second shadow bounded across the rahn's shoulders, a spotted blur racing around his neck twice and bounding off both lightning types before settling to peer up at the strange 'alrahen'. Tilting her head and nibbling at one of the large ears in clear interest, tail curled around his neck and looking for all the world a feathery boa.
"May I help you with something, D-ul Hotoro?" the filly inquired, a smirk tugging her lips, though her voice was complete, genteel sincerity as she watched the whole thing. A flock of her tail and a tap of the hoof calling Kou to her side. A black shape shifted atop his head, a huge-eared afro the Tai easily ignored in favor of the show they were being treated to. The soft snoring earning only the slightest twitch of an ear...

Kafka chuckled, holding up his hands in surrender at the soft flames of the taishogun, eyeing the flattened ears sheepishly. "Apologies," he offered. The rest of his words were drowned out as the snowdrak flared into existence, causing Fig to flatten his ears and curl protectively around the rahn's legs. With a laugh, Kaf looked up at his new scarf and reached up to pet the curious shadowdame, digging into the thick fur to give her a good scratch. Tesla buzzed around the pair in agitation at the sudden burst of activity that didn't include her, but her curiosity won over her alarm and she latched onto Kaf's back, giving a friendly sniff at the little spotted dame.

"Ah...yes, actually," Kaf chuckled at the pair of girls connected to him, but focused on the taishogun with a smile. His ears flicked at the nibble and he chuckled. "I was planning on trying to adopt another drakkari as Tesla here," he indicated his lightningdrak behind him, "wanted a companion closer to her size." He eyed the shadowdrak on his shoulders, then snorted. "I don't suppose this means anything in particular?" he asked, recalling a few stories of others attempting to adopt one type and only ending up coming home with something else.

Ignoring the activity of the lightning 'twins' in favor of the pup. "If not I should be concerned, that was an entrance even the deaf and blind would take note of, D-ul?" She added, smooth as silk. Slowly the mare sobered, watching how the trio- quartet rather- interacted.

Her tail flicked after a moment, and she shook her mane again, "I am simply too accustomed to ignorant homids of late, no harm done." She assured, returning to his apology as Kousetsu tucked her beneath a wing. Frost innocently drifting out to coat the rahn's 'skin' as he sighed. "That said, if you would care to you can attempt to adopt her, if you care to?" The mare offered, a flick of an ear melting the frosting him without thought. "Demiya... hm, perhaps you could get to know her better? Take her out to see the world, or the mountains?" She suggested, eyes sparkling at the engineer.

Archi slid himself off Kuwinda's back with a sigh and a stretch that made itself known in a symphony of creaks and cracks. Ears flicking up, then back to a loose but distinctly militant pin as he surveyed the grounds spread out before him. A hand lifting as he sensed Vadásza nearing his side for her usual scratches in the strange territory.
Since he had obtained the foal the snowflake hadn't left his side, all the better for teaching his mount, but occasionally it was trying. He chuckled as the filly shoved him against the sandy- spotted flank of her dam. The 'cheetah' giving a low hiss to encourage her foal to calm her play and the elf voicing his own agreement as he straightened. Time to find them all a new friend, then. He could only hope things went well visiting the Gryphon.

The young woman watched from the bushes, leaves, broken bits of debris and even a flower or two in her messy hair. Alongside her were several plant types, all peering at the newcomer. The littlest plant was in Jetaia's arms, though he kept trying to wriggle out to go out and greet the two lukeria. Taia knew better, however. Lukeria were temperamental at best, downright aggressive at worst. She wasn't about to let the poor rook get himself scratched. As the man moved dismounted, she tilted her head, then gave a sigh and set about attempting to tame her hair into some semblance of normalcy. She crawled through too much brush and weeds to be considered presentable, but the young woman didn't care. If customers didn't like it, they could go elsewhere. Plantdrakkari crawled through plants. It was something they'd have to live with if they wanted one. Besides, she always growled at her father in retort, Keero didn't care.

Jetaia finally managed and moved around the tall brushes into view and gave a bright smile to the customer. "Hello there!" she stopped well enough away from the lukaria in case they were the snappier type and gave a half wave as the rook again tried to get out of her arms. "Welcome to Keero's Hatchery. I'm Jetaia, how can I help you?" Several of her plant drakkari moved to sit on either side of her, for all the world as if they were the elf's guardians.

Archie's ears quivered, tilting toward a sound he shouldn't have been able to hear and knew better than to aknowledge; but the elf turned enough he wouldn't be surprised by any sort of ambush, the vitrolic rodent in his mind hissing even as he mentally flicked at its nose, earning a glare and a huff but it silenced the nimby, if only for a moment.
His head dipped faintly at the appearance of the wild child, studying her from beneath his brow for a moment before straightening and affording her a polite bow. Smirking as he noticed her halt, "They won't bite, Kuwinda is too accostomed to excitable youngsters, and Vadásza here would be happy for a friend." he assured the girl as he straightened, "Call me Archie, Miss Jetaia, it's a pleasure." he supplied, scratching the filly's mane as she pressed against him, snorting in annoyance that he'd not given her permission to go visit with the tiny reptile who looked like her dam, and acted much like herself.
"I was hoping to find a drakkari for myself, I travel, a ranger by trade," he ahrugged, "Presently these girls are my only company, figured we could do with someone else to pester Vadásza here so she's not always trying to play with me on patrols." he laughed, then nodded to the blue leaved pup, "Quite the energetic little thing, and doesn't seem frightened of the 'kieria in the least, does he?" he asked, tapping the filly's nose and earning a full glare, but the craig obediently dropped to her bum and waited as he moved forward. Holding a hand first to the woman and then to the pup in turn as he managed a proper greeting. Ignoring the unwavering, unblinking death glare aimed at his back as the foal seemed to be making every effort to will her own freedom from the orders.

Jetaia nodded and gave a smile up at the tall warrior, the plant in her arms sniffing curiously in his direction, sneezed, then wriggled and curled as if to hide in the girl's arms. Taia gave an apologetic giggle and cleaned the baby off. "Sorry. Baby syndrome, I'm sure you understand, no?" the girl chuckled with a nod towards the obedient cub next to Archie. "Pleasure to meet you, Master Archie," she smiled, then nodded and turned to dip her head towards the manor proper. "Plenty of drakkari here for that," she gave a snort, then a shake of her head. "We've recently been...added to? absorbed...pulled into? the Rangers. Keero got suckered into helping care for the influx of drakkari they have down in the city proper, so here we are, caring for more than enough infants." Taia sighed, then motioned for him to follow her into the manor.

"Sorry, I try to avoid annoying the customers, but it's just frustrating. Keero's all but pulling his precious feathers out, trying to be everywhere at once. Father has to continually remind him the rest of us can help and Arelia, our new cook, gets to remind him to eat." Again, the girl shook her head, apologetically. "And there I go again. Sorry. I get off topic a lot." she shrugged, then looked up at Archie. "What sort of drak were you looking for, may I ask? I'm  usually fairly good at channeling customers to somewhere else if you don't fit with plants or airdrakkari." Jetaia laughed.

"Franky whomever seems to like-" He began, only to duck even as a spotted blur suddenly landed across his shoulders, making the two 'kieria rear, only to stop as Kuwinda realized it was a baby committing the offence, and Vadá instantly recognised a playmate. Prompting the pup to hop onto her back instead, which the filly seemed completely happy with. Inspecting the little drak with no small amount of interest as her owner inspected his back briefly to insure he wasn't bleeding... or leeking. He rolled his eyes faintly, then blinked a few times as he felt the beast still too close to the surface. Watching the youngsters interact and shaking his head as he remembered to straighten again.
"Whoever likes us... for which, apparently, we have a candidate?" He finished sardonically, shooting the girl a weak grin and a shrug as he invited her to laugh at the whole thing.

Jetaia giggled and tried to pull the spotted dame off the man as several other plant dames 'helped' which only ended up getting the wild girl even more sticky and dirty, not that she cared. "Well then..." the girl shook her head and tsked, then sighed and fished a little treat out of her pocket to hand to Archie. "Little plants tend to like these, I've found," she shrugged. "Good luck trying to get this one to come home. I think she just likes your 'keria's spots, honestly. She won't come to any name we've tried pegging to her. Keero thinks she had a name, we just haven't found it yet." Taia sighed in exasperation, but helped brush a stray leaf off Archie's arm. "We've managed to narrow it down to about six that she actually responds to. Maybe it's the right voice?" She shrugged when the spotted dame seemed to actively listen to their conversation at the mention of the few names as Jetaia rattled them off.

Find one of these that is her actual name. Ingwe, Lara, Miscelânea, Taħlita, Kanihi, or Bigarae.

Archie nodded, shaking his head faintly as the dame seemed to fully claim her perch. Shaking his head despite himself, "Seems relatively comfortable ta me." He muttered, then nodded, "Does look a bit like Kuwinda, doesn't she?" He added more conversationally, listening to the explanation as he accepted the treat, pulling another, slightly darker treat from a pocket and offering it for the dame's inspection. "How about Ingwe?" He asked, holding the treat just far enough she had to stretch for it. "You like that one?" He asked.

The spotted dame growled at the treat just out of reach. Her feathered crest rippled at the name and she tilted her head, then launched herself at the hand, grappling it and hanging from Archie's arm like a sloth, treat clutched in her mouth triumphantly. "Well, then!" Jetaia's eyes widened, but stopped with a hand up. "Never seen her that enthusiastic. We've used that name numerous times and no one's gotten that reaction from her. I think she does like you, then. Congrats?" The plant drakkari around Jetaia began chuffing, as if laughing and the largest one nearest the girl leaned against her, making Taia reach up and bury her hand into the dark crest, much to the rook's delight.

Congratulations on the first try! You've been adopted by yet another drakkari.

His ears flicked toward Jetaia at the move to help, and the clear surprise, "Guess that's a good thing then?" He inquired, an ear tilting as the other plant's began laughing and the girl deemed him 'Ingwe's new owner. How she had been talking he expected it would take more than that, but apparently not? He shook his head and simply returned to the scratches the spotty little dame seemed to like so much, offering her another treat to coax her up toward his shoulders so he could free his hands once more.

The short tartaegon appeared outside the manor with a soft 'bloop' of air dissipating, eyes glowing faintly as he looked around the courtyard. It was unusual, his coming this far from home, but he had heard tell of the drak keeper more than once, and he was hoping to earn himself a friend; or a partner perhaps. The wind rustled the grass, soft and warm despite the season thanks to the stone of the city below. It tugged Aka's attention and the hugglefluff blinked an eye open briefly, enticing him to reach a hand up, cuddling his cheek into the blue fur to soothe the fluff back down. It took no more incentive for the face to disappear and his breathing to even out once again, the fluff clearly asleep once more.
Ari nodded, smile faltering for all of an instant, then moved toward the main building. He hadn't gotten three steps before his head snapped up, eyes locking on the bushes to his right and a hand up- only to drop as he found himself blinking into a pale face and amber eyes. The tartaegon straightening with a huff of laughter, "Tryin'a give me a heart attack, are ya?" He drawled, but lifted a hand carefully, the offer of attention clear should the dame want it.

Meiron glanced about again, normally Jetaia was the one who took care of the plant drakkari, but Argoyle and his children had been called away on some sort of business, which left him, Leona and Ryordin looking after the other species. He'd chosen to keep an eye on the plant draks, though he had currently lost one. The dame, a rather stunning lady with bright amber eyes had escaped the room, of course she had had help. "This is your fault Shraja." He muttered as he followed the bouncy lightning rook, Nrithyra was further ahead scouting about for the dame. Suddenly both draks perked up and darted off, towards the entrance of the manor. "You found her then."

Following at a slower pace he headed to where they were sitting, watching the dame in question tackle a tartaegon... with a bright blue suspicious cloak, pretty as it was there was something off about all that fluff, he just couldn't figure out what. Moving up to Nrithyra he petted her gently, the albino dame shifting so she could curl around Meiron, Shraja settled as well, more watchful now there was someone he didn't know. Clearing his throat Meiron spoke keeping his tone formal and polite. "I'm not sure about the heart attack, but she's running us around the mansion; including battering her eyes at Shraja for assistance." He commented, with a pointed look at the rook, who just blinked. "I'm Meiron, i help Keerothene with the draks, what can i do for you." At least some of Keerothene's lessons were rubbing off.

Ari tensed slightly at the voice, but smoothed it as he returned to scratching the dame's leaves, watching the wary rook in case he decided to try anything. With a faint shake the tartaegon nodded to the stranger, "Arial Halvetica, I was hoping, maybe, to adopt a drak from ya?" He returned, tone somewhat measured as he refocused on the dame with a chuckle as she pressed into him hard enough to knock an elf over. "Heh, like that, do ya?" He asked, a small grin finding its way to his face as he scratched a little harder at the spot and she all but collapsed into him.
"Never really... done this before, though?" He admitted slowly, then shrugged, "I've looked after draks, just never been out this way... or had one myself..." He admitted, a brow lifting as he found a spot that made the dame's foot start to thump. Grin growing faintly, "Think a drak might've 'dopted me though," His eyes returned to the elf, "Though, heh, I suppose that's not real strange either, s'it?" He added, mind turning to various drakkari he knew, and those they belonged to. The boy nodded, then fell silent, seemingly waiting for his host to respond though the scratching didn't stop.

Quiz Time....

  • Paint, Pp
  • Vine, Poison, Frost and Chloro
  • Trick Question; London  is the first plant, but Tammy  is P001 by registration.
  • Three on front feet, two on back.
  • forested areas and gardens, occasionally tall grassy plains.

  • White Grape juice
The once-wild drakkari first encountered grapes at a rural winery, where she made quick work of the cast off fruits. As time passed and the fruits disappeared she began to notice another cast-off from the plantation. Though she never much liked the firmented barrels the dredge that was cast off was good; and her favorite was, as it turned out, the clear variant rather than the red counterpart.

     Secretive | Charming | Generous | Protective | Optimistic
Secretive and sly this dame knows the instant someone enters her territory, but interlopers would never know. She's a master of avoiding notice, and of keeping her secrets. When she is spotted it's genrally with a coy, charming air disarming and eluding those she's not familiar with. Deep down she's incredibly generous and protective of her new family. She has a talent for seeing the bright side of a situation, and has a quiet, uplifting energy to her that seems infectious.

Arial nodded slightly, "I'll need some time ta get to know her, as for your questions, bud, shoot." He returned, shifting to a more comfortable position for all three of them as the dame resettled, snuggling into the fluff. Reaching a hand out for the lightning's inspection before giving him a scratch as well as he listened to the questions asked of him. "Most common pattern for plantdrak is Paint, right? The hybrids are Vine, Poison, Frost and Chlorophyll." He spoke up, pausing with a snort, "Tch, trick question. The oldest Plant's London , but that was 'fore the rangers started registering them properly. By number, P001, is Tammy , met her once.... I think."  He supplied, watching as the rook darted back and 'flattened' his owner and companion alike. Then he paused, glancing down at the dame with a smirk, clearly aware it was a simple matter to count the same where he stood, "They have three in front, but only, heh, toe, in the back?"he quipped, shameless despite the groan-worthy pun, "As for habitats, they're alligned to vitamancy, so they like forested areas, same as an alrahen; or a tartaegon for that matter.  Gardens'll do in a pinch, or grassy plains I suppose?" He pondered the answer, shrugged, and nodded. Glancing toward the elf inquiringly and waiting once more.

Meiron halted at the words, turning to look at Arial, for a few moments the shift just stared for a few moments, even as Shraja charged off, the lightning rook already heading to where the brown dame tended to lurk. Nrithyra had halted as well, pressing against Meiron as she cooed at Verdana, despite the other dame been 'older', as far as the crystal was concerned the plant dame was another lil one for her to keep an eye on. Eventually Meiron nodded. "I don't mind, this way." He beckoned, following in the lightning rooks wake. He stopped long before reaching where Shraja was, staring at one of the trees for a moment. Finally a young glass drak appeared, its see through form moving hesitantly as it approached the group. "This is Aystissh, my newesy drak, who is meant to be at home, though she has a penchant for escaping." Petting the glasses head he continued on, the glass darting around Nrithyra.

Eventually reaching Shraja, who turned to play with teh young glass dame as well, Meiron waited for Arial to catch up. "There she is." He pointed at a large tree, where a brown juvenile form lay draped over it, eyes closed as she dozed in the sun, and ignoring the group looking up at her.

"If you're interested in her i'd like you to get to know her, find out her personality, and spend some time with her." Meiron said, not doubting at all that he'd be able to complete the task.

Arial chuckled at the antics of the youngsters, "Sounds like meh lil'bro, actually." he breathed, barely loud enough for his words to be heard. The humor died a bit as he watched the lazing plant, shaking his head faintly and moving forward with a final pat for Verdana. Reassuring her and offering a slow hand to the pale dame as he passed, sensing her concern as well and letting his Tāratmā glow a little brighter, extending the energy over her comfortingly. "Let's see if we can't cheer her a bit, hm?" he whispered, careful to keep his motions slow so as not to startle her as he moved past.
The Tartaegon rested a hand against the bark, pausing for a moment as the warmth filtered through him from his palm. "Still like them naps, do ya?" he breathed, grinning as the familiar voice got a glance, then a plume hat as she dropped her tail atop him in greeting. "Got plenty a' sunny patches back home, if ya want you could try some?" he inquired, mirroring the dame's motion as she tilted her head at him. Tammy blinked, and abruptly stood, clawing her way down to a lower branch, then pounced. springing from shoulders he barely had time to square and coiling herself behind him. Already in a pocket after the gummy bears she knew he secreted away inside. Laughing he shoved her away, and the dame settled into a neatly seated position, tail curled primly around her feet but one was lifted in anticipation. Arial grinned, "Wot, ya think I got somma' for ya, Tam?" he teased, fingers closing around the bag with a crinkle that made the plant inch forward as he looked up to the keeper, "I think she's after somt'in, any ideas?" he inquired, glancing back at the dame, who instantly resettled herself as if she hadn't just gained three feet toward him. Akanji chuffed something like a laugh, and Verdana tilted her head, curious. After a few more repetitions, the dame inching closer with each glance away, Tammy jumped up, paws atop his shoulder as she loosed a churr and nuzzled him. Arial laughed again, giving her feathers and good scratch as he forfeited and handful of the treats to her maw. Receiving a sticky tongue in his face for his efforts and grimacing faintly as he pulled a cloth from his pocket. Working the tarry saliva out of his fur before it solidified. "One part of tha' act I ain't so fond of that... downside to a fur coat, I s'ppose." he muttered, though his free hand never stopped scratching at her crest, the dame pressing into him as if to knock him over. Thankfully the stout little Tartaegon had little trouble keeping his feet and mostly ignored the pressure, simply focusing in on spots he seemed to know until the dame was limp at his feet, purring.
Glancing up at the boy as he took a knee Arial continued his scratching, chuckling as a foot began to scratch erratically at the ground and Verdana moved closer, sniffing at the smaller plant as if trying to determine if she was alright with the spasm. The Tartaegon simply lifted a hand to rub her crest as well. Waiting for the keeper's verdict.

    Personality profile
    Lax | Intelligent | Impish | Affectionate
Tammy is overall a calm and reserved dame. She enjoys nothing more than a catnap in the sun, or munching her favorite treats and can come across as a prim little thing when she cares to. Her usual sloth however should never be taken for granted, the plant is sharp as a trap and always eager to put her mind to work, normally by manipulating those around her. Be that by mimicking voices or through well rehearsed tricks she's always quick to spot an opening she can exploit; and is just impish enough to enjoy every minute of the game to boot. These qualities are the ones which attracted Arial to her initially, teaching the dame skits to go along with his comedy acts when she happened to be around for them.
Above all else though Tammy is a cuddle bug, and will love you forever if you happen to know her favorite scratching spots. Full willing to coil into an open lap, or flop over for belly rubs if she sees someone who she knows will comply... or occasionally those she can make comply.

Another brief smile from the shift about the drool and fur comment, as he watched Arial interacting with Tammy; his own draks moving out of sight as they played with one another. "Seems you came for one drak and will be going away with two." Meiron said softly, ultimately the draks happiness was the most important, and as Tammy had shown little inclination to do anything other than doze, maybe been with the tartegon would be good for her.  "If you three... well 4 will follow me, we'll get the paperwork filled out for both of them."

The mare nodded, "All the same one must be mindful of those who live here, and these drakkari as you mentioned are sad and alone despite the care we provide for them. They are aware this is not a true home, merely a haven, and many miss the families they once had." She offered, nodding again to his appology and smiling slightly at the compliment, "This is Kousetsu, he was once abandoned here as well." She explained, chuckling a soft whinny as the drak, on hearing his name, perked and flopped his head between her ears to inspect the gryphlet. Curious, but content to remain in place.

"A pleasure to meet you, Master Guralec." She returned with a dip of her head to the feline. Then tilted her head faintly at the description and explanation. Nodding once again after a moment and turning, a flick of her tail inviting the pair to follow, "Magenti, yes. She had a good owner once, cared for her and helped her grow into an elder... only to leave her in the end. She is quite sad, but perhaps you and these elemental friends of yours could help her to see the brighter side once more, hm?" She inquired, leading the pair out and around the lake to the place where the elder was coiled in the shallows- apart from the other drakkari and with her golden pearls dried and a few even cracked despite clear attempts at keeping them oiled and moist. Others were caked with mud, though the coating at least kept them from the cracks the others were threatened by.
"I'd like you to get to know her, and perhaps to introduce your elemental friends to her, if she warms up to you you'll need to fill out her paperwork before you can take her home. He chirped, quieting his voice down, he really liked her she didn't tell him off, more advised him on stuff... and he had been loud, not thinking of the draks, he raised his still forming crest at the snow drak before following Leona towards the large lake, and his eyes widened at the length of the dame, before his attention was arrested by how she held herself, and the poor state of her scales. Glancing at Leona for permission, he bounded over to the drak, drawing to a full stop and she slid under the water lethargically, just enough so that she was hidden. "She's shy" Kii chirped softly realising something about her. "I'm not here to 'urt you, Magii." He churred. "I just wanna be your friend." He watched as she remained under the water, frowning he thought a bit before brightening. "Do you like sweets? Mama packed some for me, i've got bonbons, pez and some twizzlers." The whiskers twitched at the last word, and Magenti's head broke the water slightly so she could watch the gryphon. "Twizzlers?" Kii chirped, holding out one, he waited tail twitching as the whiskers moved and she took it, moving further onto the land as she ate, before running a whisker over Kichiro gently. Taking it as an invitation, Kii moved closer, running a talon gently over her scales, thinking slightly he scratched at the mud, before a though crossed over his mind. "Maybe tar can help those scales, i bet you're real pretty when oiled and everything." He chattered away, focusing on one of his talons, working a bit to get some so he could spread it over a small portion of the dames hide. "There." He chirped, he didn't know if it would help, but the water would keep it moist rather than sticky. "Its so much fun to stick things together, specially other gryphons." He chortled, then looked a bit guilty as he glanced at Leona, and as his attention was diverted, the dame moved slightly but with more energy than she had for a long time and she spat some water at the gryphon, just enough to get his attention; and causing the gryphlet to fall over laughing. "Kree and Enaa do that... you'd like them Magii, Kree's really caring, maybe you'd like to meet her?" He said, realising Creakla would be perfect for the dame. "I'll be back, i promise." Kii whispered, petting the dmae before moving to Leona. "Miss Leona? i'm gonna go get Kree, i'll be quiet though so as not to disturb any of the others." He said softly, merely waiting for a response before darting off, though he made sure to try and not disturb any of the others that lived here, focused as he was on getting Creakla he missed Magenti droop back down, as she watched him go.....

Familiar - Creakla | Water Elemental

    Personality Profile updated
Personality: Sweet l Mischievous l Shy l Ferocious l Sensitive
Magenti has and will always be a very sweet and mischievous drak, spitting water at those she cares for and generally looking after them at the same time, this is perfect for the impish gryphlet, though he is often the target of the spitting water. She's also comes across as a bit of a glutton for Twizzlers, but otherwise has quite a small appetite; though she's certainly one of the pickiest creatures in regards to vegetables. With those she doesn't know, Magenti is very shy hiding amidst the water until she has decided one way or another; but should you prove a threat to her 'own', then you'd best look out, 50 foot of ferocious water drak is not something to be taken lightly, afterall... theres alot of things that she can crush, plus her aim with water is amazing. With recent events, the dame's sensitive nature has also made itself known, the older dame wallowing in grief over the loss of her original owner, as such she is a bit wary about trusting and caring too deeply, but she has a heart larger than herself.
Paragraph describing her meeting and obtaining her familiar
    ~continues from RP above lol~
Creakla and Eneand had in fact accompanied their gryphlet, but rather than enter the mansion with Kii, they had decided to play amongst the waters nearby; darting about here and there, or using the passing people as target practice. Creakla surfaced and glanced about, her companion beneath the surface waiting for her signal, just as she was about to launch some water at a passing Furkin Kichiro came bounding back, his long wings  trailing a bit, and a grumpy looking dreamcat on his back. "Kree!" He said, quieter than normal, though still loud enough to garner attention. Kree was his nickname for her, with another glace at her prey moving out of sight she swam towards shore to see Kii. "Yes?" she asked, slithering onto the ground. "I have a new friend, but she's realllly lonely, but she likes spitting water, and i was thinking you and Enaa could keep her company with me and Pebble." The gyphlet chirped at her in excitement. "She's sad though, Miss Leona said she lost her former owner, and i said i would like her, but she needs a familiar and companion as well so she's never lonely again." He finished running out of breath. Creakla blinked, her caring nature surfacing. "Poor thing, here take me to her and i'll what i can do." She waited for Kichiro to hold out a talon so that she could clamber onto his back, Eneand surfaced. "I'll wait here." Was all the male said as Kichiro took off at a full charge back towards the mansion, only tripping once or twice, but like on his initial journey he kept quite quiet, been respectful and aware of the other draks.

Appraching the lake he darted past Leona to where Magenti was absently floating, her gaze distant again. "I'm back Magii, and i brought a friend, this is Kree." Kii gasped out, slightly out of breath. "Hi miss Leona, i didn't disturb anyone i think?" He whistled, waving a talon, before turning his attention to the dame, it didn't take him long to realise what had happened, and he moved closer to her head, gently stroking her near the base of her webbing. "I'm sorry, i only went to fetch Kree, here." He chirped, placing Creakla on the waters as he continued to pet her.

CReakla stared for a few moments at the dame before swimming closer. "Shhhh, everything will be alright young one. Kichiro may be a mischief maker, but he's got a really good heart." She soothed, clambering onto the dames head and peering into her eyes, for a few moments they stared at one another, and Creakla sensed the dames struggle to accept another into her heart. "Plus he's fun'" She cajoled, and to show what she meant, she spat water at the gryphlet, causing him to squawk. "Wait until my magic is stronger, then i'll throw tar balls at you." He responded, but his bright eyes gave him away.

Eventually Magenti relaxed and nuzzled Kichiro slowly, maybe it would take time for her to return to her full self, but she was on her way. Happy, but glad to see more life to her, Kichiro turned to look at Leona, hoping that he had fulfilled what she wanted of him.

Hope its alright and meets requirements =]

Looking at these rp comments, I think this is only 1of3 'training stories'...unless you can find any others of Kii using his magic of some sort? Pretty sure that's all you'll need to reach adulthood now.

I wasn't sure it would count, but if you think it counts towards one I don't mind lol still not sure if I want to grow him yet though*_^

Well, I was reading through them and this one up above, Kichiro uses his magic, so it would count. I don't believe you've had him use it elsewhere? I think there was another RP of yours, but I'm not sure where that was.

If you don't want him to grow, that's perfectly fine. Image just won't be finished until/unless you want him to.

Leona's ears were low, but she smiled and offered a nod to the returning gryphlet, distantly wondering if Keerothene hadn't done much the same at that age. Running himself ragged and breathless to cheer some drak who he had found, or perhaps his own. The thought made her smile brighten farther, and Kou finally perked from the tight coil he had curled her into. Her rook also studying the youngster and his familiars as they worked to cheer Magenti.
When he looked toward her she nodded, careful steps taking her toward him as the mud caked under her hooves, preventing them cutting through or sinking into the bank. "You have done extremely well, Kichiro. I think your parents would be most proud of you, malso." she offered, tail flicking only to produce a scroll from the resultant plume of white flames as her spines flickered with heat. "Simply fill the information in," she paused a second flame dropping a familliar - toned blue and green quill atop his head, "And she shall be registered to yourself; and, if you need travel very far, I could assist you all getting home?" she offered, an ear flicking as Kou loosed an excitable churr, and a burst of frost, into it.
