Description No idea how to categorize this...

So, I decided to go ahead and do this influence map thing. It looked so cool!
Here's what I put.

Largest square-Books. Even though I rarely draw scenes from any books besides my own, ideas from books touch nearly every piece of my art. I love books, the feel, the smell, and all the stories, knowledge and wonder that the pages can contain. They are easily my number one influence.

Two second-largest squares- Emotions and Music. I'd say at least 50% of my ideas for art pull together fully while I'm listening to music. I also find that art is easier to do while listening to music. Emotions is a fairly obvious one. My feelings are constantly poured into my art, no matter what kind of art I'm doing. In fact, some of my most emotional-charged pieces, though some of my best, will probably never see the light of day because I'm almost afraid to show them to anyone due to how much of my feelings are in them.

The three two-by-one squares- Nature. It just bursts with inspiration! I always love to get outside when the weather allows, as there are always ideas just waiting to be discovered.
How to Train your Dragon-I know that I hardly have any Toothless fan art in my gallery, but in all honesty it is completely covering two of the walls in my bedroom. I adored this movie, and it was the first one to get my really doing fan art. It was also the first time I really learned to use my six-shade pencil set. Before that I really had no idea how to do graphite art. This movie inspired me to take my art to the next level of greatness, because I was totally obsessed with trying to get everything right. Once the series and second movie come out, you can be sure you'll see a HUGE burst of HTTYD art in my galleries!
Doctor Who-I think this one is pretty obvious. Really though, it's hard NOT to get artistic ideas when you watch this show. In Doctor Who, the smallest and most ridiculous things start to take on wonderful meanings. (take a crack in the wall or a double shadow becoming scary. On the other hand, fish fingers and custard become emotional and a certain colour of blue can easily bring up all kinds of varied emotions) Plus, the TARDIS just fits practically wherever you put it. Doctor Who is all about opening up any and every possible scenario, so yeah, it inspires a LOT of artistic ideas. In addition, all of those awesome special effects have encouraged me to practice more with my art effects such as lighting, flame, space, and motion.
Another thing is that before Doctor Who, I had pretty much given up on ever learning to draw people realistically. I was just going to stick with manga or something. But then I had to try drawing the Doctor.
And try again.
And keep trying.
Well, I'll tell you what, I'm still trying!

The seven smallest squares- Bella Sara. If you haven't heard of this, you have to look it up. Yeah, so on the surface it kind of looks like a series of horse-themed trading cards for little girls. A closer look, however, reveals over a dozen series of cards featuring beautiful art by many different artists, all set in a well-developed and expanding world of fantasy and adventure. I often find myself flipping through my Bella Sarah card binder and finding inspiration there. Plus, after a busy day, the website always helps me take a deep breath and relax. Yes, I still play on the website. I don't care what anyone else thinks. Another great thing about this is that if you look at the earlier cards, you find art that maybe isn't so great. But then you look at the name of the artist, go to a series from a few years later, and see how much their art has improved! It's truly incredible to see just how much change happens in these artists within a few years! Some artists I trace through five years or more of cards and find their skills growing with every set. It encourages me, knowing that just like them, I can one day grow my art skills far beyond what they are now!
Pencils-I see a pencil set, I get the need to sketch. Simple as that!
Pretty papers- I ALWAYS get ideas when I see pretty papers! The funny thing is, oftentimes papers inspire me to write poetry. Hm.
Gears and clock parts-For some reason seeing these things always makes my want to go wild with my pencil set. I don't know why. (p.s. I really should have put ponies in that box, but I completely spaced. That's why there are ponies in the corners of my map)
Light-Different lighting inspires me and influences the feel of a lot of my art. I'm not always the best at lighting, but I'm working on it!
My friends- Just when I think I'm out of ideas, I think of something one of my friends would enjoy and make or draw it for them. This always leads to lots more art!
Dragons in general- I know I already put How To Train Your Dragon, but all dragons are well-loved by me and touch a lot of my art!

WOW! That description was WAY TOO LONG!
A llama to anyone who has actually read the whole thing. (that is, if I haven't already given you one!)
