Description This is a Dragon Feather I painted for my Aunt. She chose the Dragon design and the name. I think it turned out very cute!

Wow How did you do it without the small pieces of the feather separating?

I paint the background color first with a large, smooth brush, carefully following the pattern of the feather with my brushstrokes. This effectively 'glues' the bits together so that once it dries I can paint the foreground using any brushstroke direction and not have to worry about it!
