Description Oh, snap. Another bird. lol I'm sorry but I have allot of animals (birds in particular) in my portfolio. Expect to see more.

This may not be a hawk it may be a golden eagle.
I can't remember. It was over ten years ago that I drew this. It was a gift for my Dad who loves raptors.

For the most part I like it. The part I don't like is the feathers along the back of the head. They have a matted-hair appearance.

Pencil on art board. Sorry that it is so dark. It is a photo of a work that is framed under glass. I didn't want to use too much flash.

It's done with just a regular #2 pencil on art board (back in the days when I could afford that kind of thing). I did look a a reference. Photos of real animals are the best things to work from.
I find they don't like posing for me in the wild, even if I ask nice.
