Ah, the many sides of Toph.This drawing is for
~Quatre4 requested a Toph drawing for winning contest 9 part B at ~Avatards-Anonymous .
I'm happy with the way this came out.
(rare for me)I hope you enjoy it as well.
Colored pencil and black ink pen on paper. I don't own Avatar: The Last Airbender or this character. I make no profit from this drawing.

Your shading and detail on her robe is spectacular! I don't have that type of patience! Her proportions are awesome as well!
The style you use is very original as well and Toph appears like a very mature young lady.
The one piece of critique I am going to give is the profile in the left needs a little bit of reconstruction. The brow is just a little too high in comparison to the eyebrows and the jaw protrudes a little more than would normally on Toph's face.
Other than that, this is a very nice, original piece! Good work!

Thank you for the compliment on shading. It's all layers upon layers of color, until I achieve the results I desire. I always worry I'll go too far or not far enough.
I knew there was something bothering me about the profile but I couldn't put my finger on it. I see now it's definitely the chin.
