Description I must say that I'm a bit of a fan of the AlteranteHistoryHub videos, some in particular call my attention, and was this www.youtube.com/watch?v=e3AzwB… an interesting alternative timeline, with a world transformed by a definitive war caused by the most harmful of the weapons created.

Based on this, I decided to make a satellite map of what would be the view of the world years after this particular event, probably around our period.

As it can be seen, the northern hemisphere is clearly covered by snow caused by the nuclear winter, with north america and Eurasia being huge and vast grayish brown spot which, on the surface, survivors who have not been able to leave these territories, fight fiercely for surviving and probably a large part of the fauna of those territories has perished thanks to the abrupt climatic change and the radiation.
The south is a relatively "comfortable" place for life, were not targets of nuclear attacks, so they remained safe, however, the countries and societies that exist in these have collapsed thanks to the departure of the superpowers, coupled with climatic imbalances that are likely to lead to full-scale devastation that will continue to affect survivors for decades.

Centuries will pass before the northern territories become safe to be colonized again, probably leaving certain areas completely inaccessible for much longer by the high radiation, and many decades will pass for the surviving societies on the south to recover or for new ones to take the place of the old ones. The only thing that could be sure is that those who live in that timeline will regret what happened, and curse those who let it happen.

Actually, I don't think south countries would collapse, we have much much much and much resources to survive, mainly in Africa and South America, it would simple grow as new superpowers

Wouldn't the nuclear winter cause the world's rainforests to dwindle since it would drain the world of much of its moisture?
