Description Well, take long since you post something on allocene so I wanted to show more in detail one of the first species to publish.

the river Ogre (Mergopithecus lutrinus) is a big-sized species of megacebid of at least 3 meters long, with a ton of weight. It inhabits the rivers and shores of South America, feeding on aquatic plants. It has adapted to live in the aquatic environment: it evolved webbed feet, a large flat tail and lost most of his hair, in addition to that it can hold its breath for more than 10 minutes.

what I meant in the previous post, is that it shares niches, ie, it does have the hippo niche but not the only one who has
