Wanted to kinda resubmit some designs of my version of Balto and Jenna's pups. This time, with my preferred way of drawing Balto as a guide versus the canon version lol. The headcanons I had for them are relatively the same from here: www.deviantart.com/dragonwitha…

Major changes I made were making Kodi and Aleu smaller than their siblings. Maybe they're the runts, idk. And then some simplifying of the other siblings, their complicated designs from the previous attempt weren't sitting with me anymore. I'll repost my headcannons below and update them a bit:

Kodiak / "Kodi" - Insecure, easily impressionable and easy to influence. He's the youngest. He strives to be as great as his father is amongst the community, but he often doubts himself and holds himself back, resulting in lack of a lot of self-esteem and confidence. leading to dependence to be reminded he's doing a good job by others, especially his father. Tall, lanky, and timid but was adopted because there is high hopes he would be a damn good and fast lead dog if trained. Aleu - She's the second youngest after Kodi. Boisterous, mouthy, often unlikeable due to her snappy nature and lack of hesitancy to speak her often judgmental opinions. She also easily influenced, especially by her emotions. She's built more like a dog than a wolf, kind of scrawny. She goes through a few different homes in her first year, falling out of each household due to her need to be the center of attention and often being too much to handle for her humans. It's possible she also got into a fight with a dog living in the latest household, resulting in her being thrown out. She lives with her father for a couple months, whom in my AU, is pretty much a solitary individual and struggles himself with trying to take care of his little "Mini Me". He does his best, but they often butt heads over minor things.

Kamik - The "baby" of the family and very much the middle child. Easily irritable but means well when he speaks his opinion. He and Aleu often butted heads as pups, often due to him calling her out for her bullshit, which led to a lot of roughhousing between the two, typically which were won by Aleu because of his somewhat more timid nature. He's big enough now, and bigger than her, to be able to fend for himself even if he doesn't handle conflict well. He was adopted to a young girl as a companion dog and often accompanies her like Jenna does Rosie. He hates it, sometimes, but he is often babied by his eldest siblings and told often to "loosen up". (Artist's Note: My personal favorite! He is my version of that one pup with the muzzle mask, often known by others as Yukon, Kiona, and many other affiliations. Dingo - Sass to the max, definitely a mama's boy. Kinda on the small side, built like Jenna more than Balto. He went to a house neighboring Jenna's humans, adopted by a little boy. He took to his new life a little uneasily, but with the help of his boy, and thankfully his mother and siblings living not too far away, it did not take long for him to get comfortable. He and Saba get along a little too well at times, but he is a bit more empathy than his squabbling brothers and sisters. He often comforting his siblings as pups, and to this day will visit them in town often. (Artist's Note: The name Dingo is often given to different pups from the movie, depending on who you ask. The pups' designs kept changing throughout the beginning so I just kinda settled with this version being one with the nose bridge, seen here: static.wikia.nocookie.net/balt… .)

Saba - Big and proud, sweet girl that has become her family's beloved working guard dog. She can be a bit too much with an attitude, but really, her boisterous personality is in affectionate fun. She's the eldest of the siblings, and biggest. She often wrestled with her father as a pup, being the roughest of the bunch. The only pup she could really play with was Saluk, who is the second eldest and almost as big as her. She was adopted alongside Saluk by a pair of siblings, her going to the brother while he was scooped up by the sister. The four are an absolute family unit. She'll often wrestle with her boy. (Artist's Note: Besides Aleu and Kodi, Saba was the only one apparently to have an official name in the movie, thanks to those previously who informed me. I wanted to contrast the girly versions I see all the time of her, although other representations are lovely, too.)

Saluk - Also a big boy, was adopted out with Saba into the same home. He's sarcastic and he and Saba have equal big sibling energy, both butting heads playfully and often resulting in hefty squabbles that they shake off afterward. He's less temperamental than his older sister and often can be seen glued to his girl's side, sometimes adorning a harness that carries books and other school supplies. Their humans often squabble a lot, too, maybe it's something that their energies just kinda match. (Artist's Note: I wanted to make another pup that was brown because... yeah, let's face it, the pups were clones and there needed to be variety. I also liked the idea of giving him heterochromia. I liked the idea that because he and Saba are adopted together, that their designs could contrast like their owners' personalities.)
