I don't exactly know about interesting. Honestly they were all Balto recolors if you think about it. Compare the markings. I would have liked to see a variety of facial types instead of the Aleu nose bridge and the Balto goggle mask. (That's how I picture them). I may try to draw those three weirdos soon, maybe tomorrow. I didn't like them mainly because not only were they poorly designed, but also we already had a trio joined by a "gang leader" in the first movie (Steele, Kaltag, Nikki, and Star, I think were their names) and basically they just recreated the whole storyline again but instead of them making fun of Balto because he was half wolf, now they're doing so because he's half dog. But funnily the more I think about them, the more I want to like them. I'll see what I can come up for the three.

well i think the reason why i find them so more interesting is that they had debates and were more serious than the failed comic relief attempts. in fact all the jokes fall flat on their faces and are mostly awkward. I could let the design of the copypasta wolves slide since they weren't that important and this was a low budget B movie. In fact I tried to make a character out of the auburn one out of the lines he had (and maybe his clones,) and I think i did alright. I think its because he was the one out of all of them to follow balto first after the bridge formed.

Yeah, I suppose that's so. I did like how the wolves of the clan were actually debating amongst themselves and how not all of them went with Niju, and how some stayed with Nava.

Indeed. Its a shame there's wasn't much of the pack, they're introduced too late into the movie and it ended too soon. Talk about a rushed third act. Perhaps the second act could have been trimmed a lot more (the totum pole animals didn't really add much of anything so they could go to make room for more character development) the songs I understand had to be there due to contract reasons. At least they sound pretty. Muk, Luk & Boris being told to get out of the movie, it further adds to my rewrite of wanting just balto and aleu going on a simple parent/child hiking trip that goes much deeper. Maybe run into one of the serious wolves while fighting a wolverine or something.

Well, you know that for historic reasons of reminding everyone who was in the last movie, they had to conclude Borris, Muk, and Luk. And of course every sequel is going to have characters break out in song at some point when they never did so in the first movie or when it really wasn't needed. Don't get me wrong, I liked the songs. But... I hope you get what I mean.

I suppose they could have. There were six puppies total (counting Aleu) in Balto and Jenna's litter, so the producers could have ventured out and included all the pups growing up and learning about their homes. Balto coping with Aleu's leaving as well as Jenna, who hadn't even seen her own daughter before she left to live with wolves. Maybe they could have involved Steele again, and the three others Nikki, Kaltag, and Star, and the female dogs that all were involved.

XD Poor Balto! Couldn't have babies. Lol. Yeah the producers went WAY off when showing realism for Balto.

baltosource actually had an interview with the director a while back and the reason why they made him part wolf was if i remember correctly, was to put in the theme of differences and overcoming them.
its also odd how steel has the real balto's colors and cartoon balto has Togo's (considered to be the real hero but imo, everyone on the teams a hero.)

Well, Steele wasn't quite what the real Balto was. But either way, I guess it makes sense. It was a child's movie after all and such.
