Description Its been long...too long since Ive uploaded a train drawing. So I present to you the first of so far 3 technical drawings of steam engines.

This is one of the most famous steam engines of its day. New York Centrals J3a 4-6-4 Hudson type locomotive. Sadly, none survive today.

I chose to draw a glint type roster of this locomotive to show all more detail! Im not a big fan at all of drawing nose light roster shots. They just dont show the detail.

Like the title says, this locomotive pulled the 20th Century Limited and within the train, some of the most famous people of their day.

Note the date...that is how far I am still behind here!

Awesome drawing of one of American railroading's finest.

It's almost disgraceful that the NYC had so many amazing locomotives, but didn't bother to save any of them. Compare that to rival Pennsy, whose major locomotive classes have been preserved by at least one example (albeit with a couple of very unfortunate exceptions).

At least we have the photographic records...(and your awesome drawings).

The detail in this is great. Is it an ink drawing?

DA HUDSON!

Speaking of which, has anybody thought the Kaufman Act was one of the main reasons why they scrapped so much Hudsons?

There we go, thanks. Looking at that, no, I dont think its the reason no Hudson was saved.
