It will be retired in the near future. They are changing it with another classic, F-16.
I hope they will still fly it for air shows... the noise they make with the after burner on is impressive.

It's these sort of planes, ones with the intake on the nose, that make me think the designers thought "Let's strap a man to a jet!"
It looks like that's what they did.
