Description Well I'm a little late on this one. I didn't really feel like drawing, so this took longer than expected. Anyway, here's Tiffany Hwang from TaeTiSeo (sub-unit of Girls' Generation). This one took a little longer than the Taeyeon drawing. I used different paper, and I used blending stumps a little less than the Taeyeon one. I hope you like it.

Here are the other two in the series:

Why?

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

Dragoslayer4 In reply to Arxsite [2013-03-20 03:47:25 +0000 UTC]

College. It takes up all of my life now. Also, I mainly did art because I was taking art classes in high school. Now that I'm not in any art classes, I don't have any incentive to do it other than when I'm free.

AAaah how how do you do the hair D:

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

Dragoslayer4 In reply to ilonaeggy [2013-01-24 23:48:52 +0000 UTC]

Hmmmm. I usually get a sharpened dark pencil and start off by shading in the dark spots of the hair. From there I move on to the lighter areas. The important thing to remember is to not use too blunt a pencil and to stroke your pencil the way the hair would flow in real life! I hope this helps.

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

ilonaeggy In reply to Dragoslayer4 [2013-01-25 01:01:25 +0000 UTC]

Aaah I see, my pencils are always blunt so maybe that's my problem xD Thank you so much!

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

Dragoslayer4 In reply to ilonaeggy [2013-01-26 21:33:11 +0000 UTC]

Yeah shading with blunt pencils makes a bunch of white spots in the hair, which looks weird. And no problem!

How do you draw the hair so realistically?

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

Dragoslayer4 In reply to Anime-Dreamer93 [2012-12-11 17:36:25 +0000 UTC]

Hmmmm not sure. It always came pretty naturally for me. I start with darks and then go to the lights while moving the pencil like it was actually hair.

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

Anime-Dreamer93 In reply to Dragoslayer4 [2013-01-10 23:15:34 +0000 UTC]

Wow. IT did? wow. How do you get all the proportions so exact? o.o

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

Dragoslayer4 In reply to Anime-Dreamer93 [2013-01-12 09:09:48 +0000 UTC]

Grids. They're like my best friends! Haha. I'm lazy so trying to get proportions correct without them are kinda hard work, so I hardly ever do serious drawings without them. There are rare occasions though, in which case I just eye it and if it doesn't look right then I just fix it 'til I'm satisfied.

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

Anime-Dreamer93 In reply to Dragoslayer4 [2013-01-13 18:11:59 +0000 UTC]

OH my gosh! haha Me too! Grids makes life so much easier! Now I understand why we'll need math in everything. XD haha even art. Geez! I feel the same way. ALthough I am mainly focusing on how to draw people without a grid because I want to train myself not to use the grid. If that make sense. XD But doing commissions I feel that I have to make a grid to make it perfect. Hey! I am curious! What kind of pencils do you use? My drawings always turn out to be very light. I can't ever get the darks.

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

Dragoslayer4 In reply to Anime-Dreamer93 [2013-01-13 21:37:28 +0000 UTC]

Haha I know! I'm here multiplying, dividing, and subtracting to get the grids perfect. I sometimes think to myself, "Wow, all this for art?" And yes I do understand how you feel. You see those people who just PERFECTLY sketch a person and make it look so easy. But uhhh I mainly use H, HB, and 2B/3B pencils. H for lights, sharpened 2B/3B for blacks, and HB for everything in between. I used to have the same problem as you. I would always draw too light because I only used a regular #2 pencil. I hope this helps.
