Hey there folks! Here's an image I've put together that was inspired by a combination of Jayce's backstory (courtesy of pirateinabottle ), and this image of a Scout Trooper. I can't seem to find a legitimate source, so if any of you know the artist, please let me know so I can give credit where it is due!But for a brief description--Once upon a time, many years ago, Jayce worked in the Imperial Stormtrooper Corps as a Scout Trooper. He was dubbed by his peers and commanders, "The Silver Sniper", a note to his silver hair and eyes, and natural sharpshooting talent. Jayce resented this title, as he felt the objectification of his heritage belittled his personal skill, whether through hyperbolic praise from an officer, or the snide comment of a peer. This particular scene captures Jayce as he's lining up a shot on his target, only to be distracted at a last second crack off in the brush to his side.
I hope you guys enjoy the image! I really worked hard to get the lighting just so, and get the details of the gun and balance of grime just right on his face and armor. I'm really rather pleased with this work, and hope you guys enjoy it too!

Really enjoy the detail you've bothered to put into his rifle. It's so very easy to overlook the little intricacies of a weapon but you've actually bothered to put a lot of effort into the siding of it all so it isn't just an ambiguous shape.
Same goes for the helmet, love the fact that you bothered to detail the faceplate and shade it all in the fashion that you have.
As for Jayce himself, the shadows and lighting are just wonderful. They add a layer of depth to his features and lend a good sense of action to his face. I especially enjoy your work on his eyes though, so often they're drawn quite dead on similar pieces but you always manage to give them a sense of light that we so often associate with living features.
I think my biggest complain is up at the top of the piece where his hair meets the tree/brush. It's kinda hard to tell where one ends and the other begins in places but I imagine that is more due to the sketchy nature of your style.

I must say, watching each new illustration in your gallery is very exciting. Some artists grow slowly, like watching the moon rise and fall in the night sky. Other artists, like you, are shooting stars that I marvel at how fast improvement is made. It is so much fun to join you on your journey!
About the image itself, I love the angle, framing and color choice most of all. I'm not an illustrator, but I've dabbled enough to know that such a perspective is NOT easy. That said, it doesn't look difficult here. You made it look easy, and I think that is the sign of a professional, in all honesty.
I find this image particularly inspiring, which is rare considering how I'm not very fond of male characters. Maybe it is because I love snipers and silver is my favorite color? Maybe it is because you are awesome? Maybe it is because this image is undeniably bad-ass, and showing a rare side of the Empire I love to see; the Empire has serious and competent people under the armor, rich with their own stories.
Perhaps I will write something.
