My first serious atempt at dragons.
Dont really know how or if I am pleased with the pic but
I have worked on it for hours and hours that it will just have to do!

How long does it take to complete these paintings, if you would be kind enough to answer?

I usually spend about 20 hours or so on a painting. More or less.

Did you start off with traditional, or did you go straight for the compute?

the dragons I had sketches of in pencil, but since I dont have a scanner I had to have them beside me. and sketch them in again. The rest is first sketched in ps and then painted

I have been doing a lot of pencil sketching work when I was smaller together with my dad that was a commercial artist. But since I didnt have a scanner but got the tablet I learned how to do the idea right away. Thats the best thing with a tablet, its like a pencil but wiht mouse funktions on it so
I do my work in photoshop CS. I want painter 8 but cant afford it and the "other" ways of getting it have only givven me bad versions. I use a base photo reference of a pose of such and then I make a sketch of the pose and then my head/mind takes over from there.
When I started out 4-3 years ago I just did the character. but as I got mroe practise I whent along with more details, and backgrounds. But I am still working on them. I have troubles osme times with serten texture and so on. But I am in no hurry

Wow that's really amazing. Her skin is really nice and smooth and the dragons are great.
The only little bit of criticism I can give is where her arm that is up meets her breast doesn't seem quite right. I think the breast would be a little less round there at the top and would kind of fade off to the left. I think that's how it should be anyway, I'm not great at anatomy just off the top of my head.
But that's a really minor thing, this piece is extremely beautiful.
