After drawing a very detailed pic of Kai I wanted to draw Zuko
The sketch is from a screenshot and I wanted to do kiddy drawing...you know, no shading and stuff but just the basic colours with a colour pencil 
So here with Zuzu I relived my childhood......I LOVE YOU TOO ZUKO!Zuko- Oh no...not another crazy fan!

There goes my Zuko-fangirl side. He's the only animated character who has a scene that brought me to the edge of tears! *glomps Zuzu*

Yeah....the only reason why I liked the cartoon was because it had hints of anime (both in character design and story) but it was pretty well depicted as well. I really felt for Zuko when he was torn between his choice..... it's really tough on a guy and must have been double painful for him

Interestingly, Voltaire/Souichirou and Ozai...kinda resemble one another. OH NOES. Does that mean Granddaddy Hiwatari looked hot when he was younger...? 
Not only were there anime design elements in the cartoon, they really researched the martial arts movements (can 'firebend' and 'waterbend' thanks to training). The scene where Zuko apologizes to Uncle Iroh =

Lol Granddaddy Hiwatari looked like Kai in my opinion or somewhat similar to him XD How else can you explain the genetics since Kai does'nt inherit any look from his parents
Yeah, the martial arts were awesome as well. I loved the actions and the movements. Especially earthbending (Toph's style) and ofcourse Firebending X3 Yeah....that was very sad indeed... I was half expecting Iroh to tell Zuko to leave
Lol it's possible as Ozai represented the phoenix while Zuko was the dragon and Kai has a phoenix and his arch-enemy, Takao has a Dragon

Hung Gar/Northern Mantis-style kung fu, you mean? Firebending...it's more Northern Shaolin, because of the emphasis on kicks. Waterbending was based off Tai Chi, and then Airbending was based off Ba Gua. What's amusing is, at two of my other friends and my sister know at least one of these - my sis learned Tai Chi, I know a little big of Northern Shaolin, one friend knows Ba Gua while another is studying Hung Gar. So when we meet up... ohhh boy. Element-bending everywhere!
Yeah, I remember Ozai re-named himself Phoenix King. Now that notion (Dragon Zuko VS Phoenix Kai) is stuck in my head-!

You know something? When I drew Kai and Dranzer in Fushigi Yuggi style I realised that Kai did look like Souichiro then (but I did'nt tell anybody, cause they would think I'm retarded

I plan to draw Kei (and Katou, perhaps) with her grandfather, who was modeled after my own, anyway. So... yeah, you'll see it at some point.
Actually, it's my friend who knows Hung Gar who can set up a bending school. He moved on to learn tai chi, and when I learned of that, first thought was "Oh LOL! Real-life Aang learning Waterbending!"
Kai-Zuko pic! I think ~16stolenxpaperthin is planning to do a collab along those lines with me.

Actually, that's what happened with my sis. Avatar fan, and she chose tai chi as her first PE subject in college 'cause of it.

Hm...Dr. K, huh? Hm...for some reason, I'm thinking she'd have some connection with Kei and Kasumi, and used either one or both as 'test subjects' for her "bio-blade experiment" or whatever.

Yep, we got to select most of our subjects. I could choose two of three natural sciences subjects, two Great Books subjects (try discussing French philosopher Francois Marie Arouet AKA Voltaire), and...a whole load of electives.
I believe it will be an Agni Kai between Zuko and Kai.
