Description
I should use markers more. I've had a set of greyscale kurecolour ones for a bit ('cos it was get them in a sale for £10 or get a Tria set for £60ish) but not used them yet. So I drew this doody.I also should draw more metallic dragons.

the title reminded me of an old anime series I watched years ago, named Legend of the Dragon Kings or something. Iron Dragon was one of a family of four people who had the ability to transform into dragons - sounds a bit crap but it's done in a good way (from what i remember). I've been trying to get a hold of it for ages but it's not sold on DVD in UK format and it's rare enough for it to be impossible to download (and 6GB at that).

*nods* "Legend of the Four Kings". I borrowed the series off a friend a few years ago on VHS. It was quite good (but some bits really annoyed me, like the 'freeze frames' they kept doing), though I still prefer western dragons.
Have you tried looking on ebay? Failing that, multiregion DVD players are pretty cheap these days

Purty, shiney dragon! I like the skull look of the head and the saw blade motife on the spine ridge. I'd say that he looks rather disgusted about something.

I think I used the wrong word in that description. I use the word 'doody' as a substitute for 'jobby' or 'thing', rather than doodle. The markers took some time 'cos I was scared of bolloxing it up.

The shine on the scales turned out really well, there's a cool metallic feel to it.

Thank you! About halfway through I thought I'd ruined it by using too many shades of grey, but the last couple of layers seemed to rescue this! And then I used a white gel pen to bring up the more detailed highlights I couldn't get 'cos the marker nibs were too thick.

Cheers! I didn't expect the metallic look to work too well but the final two shades of grey I used (the darkest since I work from light to dark) really made it!
