Let me guess. Watercolor isn't it. I like the red devilish dragon in the lower middle. I see what you done to his red tonal skin colors from highlight to shadow.

*nods* they're one up on Magic Markers, I think, because they've 3 different tips (which is very handy!). THe 'water' look depends whether you apply another colour (or another layer of the same colour) while the first one's wet or dried. They do a special blending marker for other effects but I don't really use it much.

They're Magic Markers. That would be cool. I kinda of like it when I use them to color on the color type bond paper more like bristol. For instance, let's say that I use peach bond paper for the background and I use 2H graphite pencil to make a rough and lightly sketch of a rich house backyard in perspective. After that, I use a black fine point permanent marker to draw dark line over the pencil lines and later use a knead eraser to erase all the leftover pencil lines so that the dark lines from the fine point marker stands out. Then I use the magic markers to color certain parts like green for trees and grass, blue for sky and pool and window reflections, red for the brick wall and chimney, orange and yellow for cement as sidewalk, and brown for tree trunk and fences and oak balcony behind the house. And later for the final touch, I use the prismacolor pencils to color over the magic markers to heighten richiest dark tone and smooth looks. This kind of technique is particularly used by architects and figure illustrators (anatomy artists). I wish I could have scanned and shown you this female architect fine piece of artworks from her books in perspective with magic markers and prismcolors in bond papers; however, I couldn't recall her name and her website. Anyway, I hope you understand what I'm trying to explain the process of using magic markers and prismacolors.
3 different tips, . Let me guess; one is broad, another is medium, and another is fine point.

*nods* that's right. I use the broad one the least but it's pretty handy for large areas.
I've not tried them on tinted paper like peach but from what you say it sounds like the results could be interesting. Otherwise that's like how I use my Trias, though I haven't added pencils over them for a while. I do use white gel pen and sometimes a white wax crayon thing (I don't really know what it's called - it's not really a crayon but that's the best I can describe it) for strong highlights.

What really suck about the markers is that they don't have white. Unlike prismacolors and crayons, markers tend to omit white ones so that they just colored over any color papers and we need to add white pencil, white crayon, white gel, and even white acrylic paint to pinpoint the highlight areas; just like you did yours. Probably they were no such thing as white marker. I hope the company could at least make one in near future.

hm, maybe the stuff they use for the ink's just not compatible for white? Since I've not tried them on colour paper I never really thought about that. Even with drawing inks the white colours they have aren't that great and I find it's better to use acrylic paint to fix mistakes.

Maybe we ought to try ballpen's white out.
