Description Just a quick pic-dropoff..
I went away to Spain on holiday - didn't mention it before I left because I thought the villa I was staying at had internet... which it didn't Still, it was quite nice to be incommunicado for a bit. I didn't get very much drawing done - mostly I was just doodling for practice - so this is the only 'proper' finished picture to come out of it!

I brought along my Derwent 'Graphitint' pencils, having had the whole set for at least a year and never using them I thought it was about time I gave them a try. I'm not entirely convinced of them but won't give up on them just yet.

Not even ninja pirates can stop a zombie dragon.

I think you'll have to be a viking ninja pirate to stop a zombie dragon.

Don't like Spain that much.

Btw, this "little" guy there has a great design. Like everything else in this gallery, obviously

I wasn't so excited by northern Spain (been there a couple of times) but this time we went to Andalucia in the south, stayed in the mountains miles away from the tatty 'tourist' areas at the coast and had a really fantastic time. I'd recommend it ^^

You're welcome

Well... I have to confess that I've only been to Barcelona, all the rest that I know I heard it from friends. Ibiza, Canaries, etc... and that didn't quite catch my interest. Maybe, someday, I'll try. Another thing on my "things to do before I get too old to do them" list XD

Some of Barcelona's pretty but not very exciting. Then again I much prefer natural scenery to cities, Ibiza isn't my scene (not much of a rock scene there!)... Lanzarote was nice (I like volcanoes) but it's hard to compare to the mainland as it's very different. Andalucia was nice because it's so varied - you can spend a day at the cost, visit caves, then the next day go to the top of an 11000 ft peak in the Sierra Nevada where there was still snow! Of course, it helped that the private villa we had was awesome so just lazing around by the pool sketching was a good option too And surprisingly cheap - it was the nicest place we've ever stayed in, but because it was in the middle of nowhere not so expensive to rent!

Well, you'd never guess... this suddenly made me want to go to Spain sometime.

...why am I so easily influenced?

Thanks ^^ On the world my art is based a dracoliche is a form of liche... nasty, powerful Greater Dead with dire intelligence and lots of power. A zombie dragon is just a reanimated dragon corpse, one of the Lesser Dead ^^

And sometimes (more often than not on my part) it's a failure to plan - usually when a half-arsed doodle suddenly turns into a proper picture
