But he'll never catch them all anyway. Outside the games, you can't catch legendaries or even Mew & Mewtwo.
So his goal, right from the very start, is redundant & impossible.

Even though it says "Gotta Catch 'Em All" and his last name is supposed to have part of the slogan "Catch 'Em" in it, he never caught all or seen all.

Totally not true, Generation II addded only 100 new pokemon, Generation III added 134, Generation IV added 106, generation V added 151; by far only 2 generations added more that 150 Pokemon to the list

On the other hand, he uses pokedex like crazy, so he should have a "seen" entry for every pokemon, except, maybe, some legendaries and the evolutions of Porygon.

I used to have the original 151 memorized but, then came the Johtos and I thought, ok kool! Then hoen..then Sinnoh...and now Unova. Enough already people! I can't memorize all these new pokemanz!
