Description I've been working on this model for a while. I feel pretty good about getting the rig this far, but it can become quite tangled with all the IK. The model itself is pretty simple. I keep wanting to up the poly count, but I lack the time and talent. Perhaps it's best to keep with the style for time's sake. Might help with game engine performance, because this character has a lot of bones. 198 so far, and I haven't done any mouth or facial rigging, aside from the eyes.

(Edit 10/24/2018: Added some textures.)

You've done great here, buddy! Zeta looks cool!

Wow! 192 bones is a lot.

Have you experimented with b-bone armatures in blender? They're modified bones that can bend when you enable segments on them, (Like bendy straws) which makes for some fantastic simpler deformation and rigging. I use only three of these bones for Kameilo's tail movement and it works good.

UVs can be a bit tricky to understand. I always just try to remember this--if this model was going to be a stuffed toy, I'd have to find out where to cut and sew (the seams) and keep in mind what the flattened fabric will look like when its cut out like a sheet. Even then I know it gets challenging. But it helps when your models are simpler in polycount.

Thanks.

Yep, I tried using them, but couldnt get them to function the way I wanted to. Might try it again and see if I can get it right.

Huh, thinking of it as a plushie sounds fun. Wonder how much it costs to make those things.
