Blinding flashes of light, deafening cracks of thunder, the crackling sparks of unleashed electricity. Cedric is...
Cedric is none of these. Quiet and reserved at most times, he's more like a hum than a thunderclap. Not to say
he lacks passion, this manifests in a sheer destructive potential of disassembly. For his insatiable curiosity of
the inner workings of things leaves no appliance nor gadget safe. Atop this though lies his truest love in the stories and legends of old,
of heroic explorers and their encounters of gods and mysteries. Though he rarely shares this with any but close friends, fearing being seen as childish.
While he truly wishes to emulate the heroic explorers of the past, Cedric tends to be fairly cowardly. Preferring to use a thunder wave
to paralyze aggressors and move on, or to let another take the front lines. When in greater peril however will, as an absolute last resort, use a powerful thunder. After an incident as a child involving a lightning strike leaving Cedric with a horrid fear of thunder and great dislike of other loud sounds; any use of thunder will typically leave him shaken for a while. Hating this fear and inability to overcome it has left his self confidence rather low as well.
Socially Cedric may come off from afar as somewhat aloof, as he tends to show more interest in things than other mons. Compounding this
is an unintentional scowl typically adorning his face. He's quite aware of this however, and has even learned to weaponize it to a degree in the form of leer. Not to say he's hard to get along with, as he tends to be fairly friendly once in a conversation. He does respond poorly to jabs or insults however, and will typically stay jaded at an individual almost indefinitely afterward. Get him started on one of his passions though and getting him to stop conversing often becomes the challenging part.

Story:
Childhood home:Seasong City, Sapphire Island
Current\Previous home: Tincaster outskirts, Ruby Island
"Are those stories of gods and heroes and dungeons really true? I'm not sure, but if they are I, I want to see them with my own eyes."
Cedric was born to a modest family living in Seasong City, consisting of his parents and grandmother. It wasn't very long before they noticed an odd trend of the boy, any toy he was given he would examine thoroughly, then promptly attempt to take apart. Things only escalated once he learned to wander the residence. The only distraction of greater importance to Cedric was when his grandmother would tell him stories. She had been a historian before retiring, and would tell of a world of dungeons and the explorers who braved them. Once learning to read she gave him a book of old legends, which quickly became his favorite and would rarely be found far from him.
As Cedric grew older he would often find himself on the receiving end of jibes from his fellow children for believing in old fairy tales. Wanting to prove them wrong he hatched a plan that would end up changing everything. He'd learned that Seasong was an old city, maybe old enough to have something from those days of legend. After all those dungeons used to appear everywhere right? Cedric often adventured to the older parts on the outskirts of town and had heard some of the adults talking of a ruined building that had recently been dug up. Waiting until after nightfall he made his way towards this goal, failing to notice distant lightning flashes above the opposite ocean. To Cedrics dismay he found little of interest at the ruined building, naught but dirt, dust, and crumbled stone. Dejected he began his trek home, just as the storm completed its own inland.
Dashing through the downpour an open town square was all it took the young elektrike to learn what his ability was. A blinding light and thunderous crash were the last things he remembers filling his senses. He awoke the next day to the sound of distant arguing, the voice of his parents, that he needed to be steered toward his future so he'd stop chasing dangerous old legends.
Cedric found no injury to himself from that night, save a now perpetually floppy ear. The common storms in the area became a much larger issue though, sending Cedric into a panic every time thunder would crack. Finally a respite was found in the form of a TM, teaching him rest allowed him to sleep soundly through any storm. His grandmother was also uncharacteristically quiet after the incident, and any requests for stories were met with the shake of a head and pained smile or a sharp retort from a parent. With the outlet of the past cut off, Cedric found a growing interest in newer technologies, growing fascinated by a neighbors radio. He soon found once he learned how they came apart that he could put them back together with increasing success.
Cedrics grandmother passed away shortly after he finished his education, and he seemed to grow distant for a time after. Until one day he suddenly declared he was going to move to Tincaster city. He'd received an invitation from a traveling radio technician, after Cedric had noticed the issue with a device the woman was repairing. Trepidatious but happy for him, Cedric's parents proudly wished him off, the radio system was taking off and he was sure to have a good future there. Packing his things he found the old book of stories from his grandmother, filled with nostalgia and sorrow for a moment he quickly packed the book with the rest of his effects.
Life in Tincaster was far different then Cedric was expecting, the hustle an bustle of the town was nearly overwhelming. The technology though! Devices he'd never seen or imagined, buildings that seemed to touch the sky! He quickly immersed himself in work and learning, becoming fairly prodigious in the cities technology. The rare thunderstorms through the area would still often put him into a panic though, and after a particularly bad one he grew determined to overcome his fear. Saving up he bought and used a TM for Thunder, training himself to perform it when he could build up the courage. This typically only managed to leave him shaken and tense.
Ten years later on September 12th, 1915. Cedric had his own home at the edge of Tincaster where he ran a small repair business. He was out picking up supplies when the calamity occurred. The gods he'd read so much about had appeared in the sky, plain as day. Old memories and joy surged forth, the stories were real! This elation quickly changed to confusion and fear as the world was ravaged by the gods battle. Cedric cowered and watched on as nearby neighborhoods where torn apart or crushed in landslides.
After the dust settled Cedric found his home demolished, almost completely crushed beneath fallen rocks. Slowly digging through the remains brought forth little but an old radio, and his treasured book. Nothing of the events that transpired made sense, why would the gods who helped save the world come and destroy it? After reports began to come in of mystery dungeons appearing across the land once more Cedric began to feel an old spark of excitement. Once the worlds cities announced the return of guilds he made up his mind. He had to see this world of exploration he'd dreamt so much of for himself. There was only one guild that would do though, the original he'd read so much about. If anyone had a chance to save the world again it would be them, and that was something he had to see with his own eyes.

Extra:
-The ear that's floppy can switch sides, there doesn't seem to be rhyme or reason to it. Once flopped nothing can keep it upright.
-Bisexual, but fairly oblivious to flirtation unless extremely obvious
-Mane picks up static from the air, he tends to forget this and can get extremely poofed up until discharged.
