The team NextWave is a odd....sort of team, even to the more absurd or stranger teams out there. On one hand, they shouldn't truly exist due to the whole thing being a "fever dream" made by the Beyond Corporation and later Retconn....but on the other hand, they exist with the Captain trying to rebuilt said team since no one wants him...

Which is another thing that NextWave is actually a Thunderbolt's idea, namely Peter Cannon, a former member of the DV JL incarnate who stepped down in order to focus on the DrawVerse's more "Inner Meta Deconstruction" as he calls it, which is the occasional incursion or avoided another superpowered war. But it's also the fact that while not the most....consistent team, it just reminded him of home for better or worse for how he would stand by the former captain s^%^ in order to find somewhere to belong, which says a lot knowing how Monica, Elsa, Tabby and even Robot man would move on from this team....or Dirk Anger still being a zombie.

The current Nextwave team goes like this:

-The Captain: More or less one of the heavier and more....dangerous powerhouses and regrettably their "flagship" hero, still a drunk but Peter's helping him clean up for sure.

-Peter Cannon/Thunderbolt: The True man behind the team, serves as it's strategist and oddly heart.

-"Laurie" Croft: The long-lost "clone" of the Lara Croft Half-sisters, namely after one adventure, was founded and picked up to be more or less the badass normal of the team; counterpart to Elsa bloodstone.

-Beet J Stag: Whenever the remanent of the "Real boy" theory by Jin or Steel, Beet serves as the teams robot, namely the "Emotional robot" akin to Aaron, speaks in lots of Engrish but he's a charm pal to have....since it was that or being a bug somewhere.

-Jo Muellin: Serves as a counterpart to Monica, serves as the team's more by the books officer/partner to keep track of the team's mission or 2nd powerhouse.

-The Akibarangers: Serve as a more comedic take than Tabby, the "unofficial" sentai often help to serve as the lethal joke fighters and it's back-up team should the main 5 get busy.
