(Super String: Marco Polo's Travel to the multiverse Vs. VERSUS)
VerseString Theory
Frankly if I had a nickel for everytime a iconic mangakaka drew another series revolving around a multiversal-level isekai....I get two nickels, not a lot but it's weird this year has TWO no doubt, one a manwha webtoon, the other a manga(again mind for the minor connections but still)
Connections:
- Both are men who despite the medieval/middle age-like setting they lived in, would be thrusted into a multiversal spanning adventure(Marco Polo due to the OZ amulet being sent to Asia/Modern Tokyo/Korea....which in fact results in indirectly meeting several manwha works by Inwan Yuon , Hallow's world being merged with several other worlds including sci-fi, zombies, and giants in a attempt to summon heroes, even thou it would lead to said enemies with them)
- Both would lost a arm some point, suffering a sense of heroic bsod(although thanks to outside help, Marco has a monster arm; Hallow still has only one arm) and often used a sword as their main abilities but do have the strength to keep up with the more highly-advanced enemies(but not the strongest)
- Both seemed to be drawn by iconic artists(Boichi for MP, Kyoutaru, who drew Tenkaichi, for Hallow)
While not a full detailed matchup, the idea of the two transversing the multiverse during the fight does seem interesting, mostly as a first episode of sorts.
Both characters belong to their respecctive series
