I didn't get why she had to be an ass to Jayfeather. She doesn't seem to realize that you can push someone away without bitching at em. I understand that they had the whole kit secret and whatnot, but maybe if she and Squirrelflight told the truth from the start, the three wouldn't be mad at them. I just find it silly that they decided to keep it a secret.

I liked her at first. After a grumpy Yellowfang and a unhappy Cinderpelt, I was glad to see a kind medicine cat who wanted to be a medicine cat. I didn't understand her fling with Crow at all. I mean, she looked nothing like Feathertail and was a ThunderClanΒ cat. Frankly I think it was all a mistake on her part and dragging Squirrel into it rather than admitting her mistakes and asking for forgiveness was foolish.
Her suspicion of Hawkfrost was warrented, he did almost kill Firestar after all.Β

Honestly when I saw Leafpool's character, I thought "something will happen to this innocent apprentice..."
CrowXLeaf is my least favorite couple (Actually, all CrowXAnyone) Leafpool only felt sympathy for him, not love. I'd say Crowfeather finds her on the cliff, and ding, there he falls for her that moment because she reminded him of Feathertail's death. (That's dumb, I think...)Β
Nobody cares if he loves anyone from another Clan...
I don't blame Leafpool or Squirrelflight for their suspicion of Hawkfrost (I think Squirrelflight was just mad that she has a new mate but doesn't get to spend time with him...)

I feel like they gave CrowxFeather a shot because they liked it, but when Feathertail died, they went wait what about Crowpaw??
And they didn't have an answer. So they made Jay/Holly/Lion Leafpool's kits instead of Squirrelflight's so it seemed like Crowpaw had a purpose. I mean, they needed a WindClan cat and couldn't think of anyone. They had Graystripe's kits for RiverClan, Tawnypelt from ShadowClan, and of course why not redeem Tigerstar's son from ThunderClan and toss Firestar's daughter in there so he isn't forgotten.
They couldn't use Tallstar because he was the leader and they killed Gorsepaw. Morningflower was just too old, and they just went 'fuck Onewhisker' for unknown reasons. So they used this random apprentice. And when it came time to return to the Clans, they didn't have a way to integrate him in the plot while only using POC ThunderClan.

I do not blame Erins for drama because it's their choice, but I hated how the whole of PoT was nothing but three kittens dealing over a huge prophecy, secrets, love drama, and nothing gets solved except they found the new Third.

That entire series was way to dragged out to just be about ThunderCLan. It needed to be condensed to six books or deal with background characters/other Clans as well.
