It's impossible to deny the monumental impact that Akira Toriyama had on the world of entertainment. The Dragon Ball franchise is more than just a popular manga/anime series, it's a cultural icon. It's what got many kids here in the west into anime. Even as someone who didn't get into the series until years later, it was easy to see how special it was to so many people. And that's not even getting into the other work he's done, Doctor Slump, character designs for Chrono Trigger and Dragon Quest, etc...true talent at work.Rest in peace, man.
