Great shot! My only advice would be the comp of the image. If possible, not cropping/editing the photo in such a way that prevents you from seeing the direction the bird is looking. It's not always easily done depending on the background and even the way an image is taken, but being able to have this added space will balance out the image more and encourage the imagination.

Thanks, but I would encourage you to use rules of composition as guides, not iron laws. If a rule doesn't fit with want you want to do, then maybe it shouldn't be applied. The priority here was to keep the image simple by minimizing the number of branches in the frame.
