Description
I was going not going to catch any pokemon form older gens in pokemon Y (unless the were shiny). However I found a Female Mawile cought it in the same kind of ball as the male one it had the same nature and ability as the male but the female had the better potential so I made the expectation. But if this Pokemon is base on a Japaneses monster then why did it gain the new fairy type

Most likely but that because I know what it base on, farther thing form a fairy as you can get

My guess is how it got Fairy as its secondary type it due to it being in the Fairy Egg Group.

Yeah. I have no idea why they made it part Fairy. Part Dark would make more sense if you ask me.

speaking of Sceptile... Sceptile vs greninja, There Base stats are very similar

Speed wise: Greninja

but base speed wise Sceptile is just two points off form matching Greninja so it all about IV and even if is slower, Gain Drain STAB will keep Sceptile on it feet
