Description What's up with that line?

Why are those tires so lumpy?

A smart deviant told me to submit this as fanart, but i could not find that option... hopefully this is kosher.

thank you, I wanted maybe to post pixelart at doubled resolution to reinforce its pixeliness.

Optimus Prime all the way! I love how you used transformers to act as real cars! That is very cool!

Every pixel seems in orer! I would give it a maximum score!

Wow its one hell of a pixel art. Its unfortunate that you don't enjoy as much as other things, I would like to see more, but not at the expense of enjoyment. ^__^;;

thank you. i like pixelart when it invokes a sense of nostalgia that i don't think is present here. the scene i was making only looked good to me when the pixels were doubled... like it was a low-rez.

NICE! I like the detail of the front, but the wheels could do with more. Very good!

Wow, this is indeed amazing!

That said, I would encourage you to do more, but you didn't seem to enjoy doing it much and you said in your journal that it took up all your time, keeping you away from other projects, so I guess you have to take that into consideration. This is great, but if it was a choice between one pixel piece and a bunch of your normal work, I would definitely be greedy and want the normal stuff. Choose whichever one makes you the happiest.

thanks! maybe I will make little pixelart things and when they are done I'll be able to work on something else... the best of both worlds... or something...

Nice man, you have lots of talent. How do you do pixellart exactly??

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

drclay In reply to melies [2004-09-06 18:10:11 +0000 UTC]

thank you. Purist say you should use MS paint, I have a mac, so I used photoshoppe... but the idea is the same: set your pencil size to 1 pixel and then draw your picture one pixel at a time... click, click, click... click... click... etc... etc...

if you want to make isometric pixelart, then you must make all your lines go two pixels over, one pixel up... and everything will be in this wierd, 3/4 angle, like the old video game "Marble Madness" or "Sonic 3D." what's cool about it, is that there is no perspective... so you can mess with people's minds, M.C. Escher made use of this trick to make all of his memorable images... there is a site that does a better job of explaining it... but i don't remember the url. If you browse deviantart, and restrict your view to isometric pixelart, you will find some AMAZING stuff, and on those deviant's sites you will find links to tutorials...

whoa! I wrote a novel!

Awesome, it looks just like the toy the details are just fantastic. I used to have one of those. But then I lost those darn detachable hands and things went downhill from there.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

drclay In reply to Guildsman [2004-09-06 11:32:07 +0000 UTC]

thank you, I had the toy in one hand and the mouse in the either when I made this. I had the original toy... i don't remember what happened to it. Now i have two reissues of it, they're cool... the original toy, but all new and it doesn't cost $300 and you're not afraid to take it out of the package.
