You know... I don't know anymore. this story really is just the result of a bunch of comic book writers getting drunk one night and one of them daring the rest to make the most incomprehensable idea ever, and they went with it.Or maybe even a poster!

Linkara's reviews of the Youngblood comics are great episodes. This one and the episode where he talks about 10 are my favorites: Issue 10 where he rips Rob Liefeld a new one for Chapel's suicide.

Linkara: "We cut to Youngblood headquarters, and it's raspberry-orange sky, where..."
*Sees Troll in the shower, screams his head off like crazy...and cue a mental breakdown to Combine Harvester.*
Linkara:Β (Hits himself with his hat while sobbing) "Oh, God! Now I'm blind!" (Stares intently at a Pikachu doll, before holding an imaginary comic) "It's not even in my hands, BUT I CAN STILL SEE IT!" (Hits himself with his hat while sobbing again) "Mommy, I don't wanna review comics anymore!" (Stares at the Pikachu doll again) "Tell me your secrets..." (Stuffs his face in a bag filled with plastic ball pit balls and screams in it. Then switches to him holding a Pollo plush doll) "Pollo...Pollo, we have to get out of here, we have to..." (Drops the plush doll) "POLLO!" (Glares at the Pikachu doll sitting on top of the couch) "YOU DID THIS!" (Drinks water to calm himself down) "Why, Liefeld? Why?! Why do you do this to me?! Is it because you're insulted in my theme song? Not even Gary Brodsky pulls this kind of crap! If you wanted to get to me, you didn't have to hurt so many other people!"

After last week, Linkara got worried he was getting soft and running out of stuff to complain about. Β But his tone changed when he found out that he's due for discussing another Youngblood comic. Β That should get his critical edge back.

Yup I was right, it WAS a doozy of a comic. Admittedly it was a much more fun read than its predecessors and it did give some much-needed backstory and characterization for some of those characters (albeit not very much of it). What's more, we got to see Linkara have another one of his "Combine Harvester Meltdowns," which is always fun.

Somehow. The especulator boom and all that crap helped with that.
