Ok, since these aren't the MAIN legendary trio, I figure it's ok to show them to you c: especially since a decent amount of you guess their theme correctly~ This trio is based off the three ninja characters of Jiraiya GΕketsu Monogatari (the tale of the gallant Jiraiya).By the way, you have no idea how hard it is to research this story. Wikipedia has almost nothing on the story, and a google search only brings up fucking Naruto stuff. What the hell?
Speaking of which, anyone who accuses me of ripping off naruto, do some learning about the original story: [link] (yeah, I know there's not much, seriously, what the hell? )
Anyway, Hikiraiya is based on Jiraiya, with samurai influences. Katsunade is based on Tsunade the slug princess. I went with sort of a mix between a ballroom gown and Kimono for her body shape to try and keep it sluggy. Orohachi is based both on the Yamata no Orochi and Orochimaru the snake sorceror. The idea of the guns in it's mouth came from the japanese gunners called Ashigaru [link]

*= His attack and special attack stats will be boosted by 1 stages if Katsunade is beside him in battle. Katsunade's defence and special defence will boosted by 1 stage too. If Orohachi is on the opposing side of the field in the presence of jiraiya, Orohachi's Attack and special attack will be lowered by 1 stage.
Signiture move: Heavy Gun (Water 60pwr 10pp) On the first turn, Hikiraiya takes aim. On the second turn, Hikiraiya fires his heavy gun at the foe. If Hikiraiya was not attacked during the turn he took aim, this move's power is doubled.
Signiture move: Toxic Tide (Poison 80 pwr15pp) The user sends a wave of poisoned water at all foes (this will also strike none poison type allies.). Any hit by this move may be posioned.
Hikiraiya is an extremely honourable warrior that ruls all amphibians. He fights for the love of the slug Princess pokemon, Katsunade. In her presence, he becomes more powerful. He is bitter rivals with the legendary pokemon, Orohachi. He weilds a heavy gun, passed down it's lineage from the feudal era.

Katsunade is the ruler of all insect pokemon, iny bug in her presence bows to her every whim willingly, struck by her beauty. She is a kind and gentle creature, but if you threaten her or her insect followers, she will standly proudly and valliantly to defend them with her insect magic.

A malevolent being and ruler of serpants, arch nemesis of Hikiraiya. His temper is short and foul, many who approach are left broken and beaten. It seems desire Katsunade, and will use all his power to steal her away by any dark means necassary. In battle, he sproats cannons from his 8 throats to fight.

Β Xiangliu: the Chinese mythology nine headed demon snake of water, it's blood was so toxic that if it touched the ground nothing could live or grow there.

The typing is because i wanted to make a legendary poison type, which, depening on how we consider Nihiligo, has yet to have happened. So I went with a ninja theme overall because they use all sorts of poisons and what not, and pokemon's ninjas' often used poison types.
As for dragon, it's the typing that best asscociates with reptilian creatures, so it worked in this case. And at the time this image was drawn, there was no poison dragon pokemon. Obviously 6th and 7th gen have come out since then.

okay... for those of you not aware... the Legendary Senin from Naruto are based on a old Japanese story where Jiraya is the Hero, Tsunade is the "Princess in Peril, and Ororchi.... well.... he looks like a demonic Hydra.
