Description
I know I know there's only three haha, but they take up alot of space! The backgrounds were what slowed the comics down the most. It was getting the archetecture, colours, layout and more importantly the history right. I didn't really want the 'every Sci-fi city ever' look but I kinda ended up with that towards the capital. I'd already drawn the capital building earlier so no escaping that!

Most of the stuff present has a paragraph to a page worth of info, with history of laws and stuff eg on AI driving laws (for some reason???)

Some minor details:
The city is built vertically on layers inside of a caldera. The volcano sank almost underwater, one side collapsed in an ancient eruption so the dam was built to protect the city. The hot springs were what attracted people to the location in the first place
The top layer is the newest and most expensive place in the city.
The floor of the top layer is covered with a clover lawn, since hover vehicles were (and still are) the most common mode of transport when it was built
There's a giant lift to all the layers accessable from the capital building
The quadrant the space marines are heading through is near the eldori embassy and is where a lot of eldari live. Eldori are generally assumed to be psychic by outsiders (Ace vehemently disagrees with that assumption)
The sky dome is to protect from the tropical rainfall and more generally control the climate. Some rain is allowed through in areas, the outside rain runs down and floods the farming layer underneath which soaks through the floor into the layers below
There's loads more but these are some of the ones that show up in the comic, I'll probably make a full summary of tessara once I'm done with it in comic 👍
