Description
Now, before you got screaming "WTF is a Horseshoe Crab?, allow me to explain.A horseshoe crab is a member of the arthropod family. This includes crustaceans, scorpions and other animals with exoskeletons (have their skeletons on the outside of their body.)
I've been wanting to make a horseshoe crab character for a while now. And #Sonic-FanCharacter SoTW challenge is crab for this week. So I thought I'd make him, but first I must find out if he's eligible, so that's what I'm waiting on.
Also, I haven't drawn Sonic style in good gravy knows how long, so there may be some mistakes. Though I'm rather happy about the way the cellshading turned out.
That tails thing comes out of his head/neck area.
Here is an image of a horseshoe crab so you may see what I'm talking about.
A tidbit of information:
His name is Lumii. This is derived from the Horseshoe Crabs scientific name, Limulidae.
He is about 12.
The outside of his shell is like the daytime sky while the inside is like the night sky.
Very shy and cautious. He also may be paired with my sister's character, Felicity the Ottsel. We haven't quite decided yet. If anything on her team.

Well, he's not eligible. XD I asked and since he's technically not of the crustacean family he can't be in it. XD
I've just been wanting to make one for awhile. They're such odd critters and you can buy the at pets smart and my mom won't buy me 1. XP

You can buy them as pets? I didn't know that. I think I've heard of people eating them or their eggs or something but I didn't know they were being sold as pets...wouldn't they get too big for the aquarium (if they lived long enough) ?

I know people eat them, they're harvested and all those things.
But I want them as pet! XD

I know, but they're closer related to a scorpion.
I went there a while back and they had just got them, and they were widdle babies ones and I wanted them all >> But all my...aquarium pets...tend to die so...yeah...

a scorpion, huh? never would've guessed that XD and they were babies? AWWWW! and ya, aquarium pets are difficult to keep alive because you have to have the right kind of treated water for them at just the right temperature. otherwise, they (goldfish anyway) might get diseases like clamped fins and die.
