Description Had some inspiration to make this late in the night.

In "My Little Street Ponies," Spike was adopted by the Sultan and has been raised as Prince Nasir of Agrabah (with friends and family calling him "Spike.") Because he was adopted, Spike cannot inherit the throne, leaving him with finding out how to make himself useful as the prince.

Spike loves his family and would do whatever it took to keep them safe and happy. He is also friends with Princess Jasmine's handmaidens, Twilight Sparkle, Rarity, and Fluttershy. He also has a pet phoenix named Pee-Wee, a gift from a foreign noble.

The "Floating head" is an image of Spike wearing his turban, which he rarely wears.

Is Pee-Wee an ACTUAL Phoenix? Or would he be a bird that has it in its name (as magic's not known to exist at this time, the latter kinda makes more sense.)

If magic does not exist, why are there genies?

I mean no one KNOWS magic exists. Or do they? You said Twilight was studying magic.

I just always got the impression that until Genie showed up, folks like Aladdin thought magic and creatures like him were just myths and legends. He seemed pretty shocked at seeing Carpet. Jafar knows and he keeps it a secret to aid him in his plans. Plus in the series, with a few exceptions, Aladdin seems to keep Genie's existence a secret from most normal people. Possibly to keep him safe from people who'd want to use him for evil like Abis Mahl has tried to do.

Though, like I said, I could be wrong.

There's also the Aladdin TV series. Remember the episode "Garden of Evil? I'm pretty sure the sultan was well aware of magic prior to meeting Aladdin.

I guess you're right. So I guess Spike having a Phoenix for a pet makes sense now.

Exactly. And Twilight is observant. She's figured out a long time ago that Jafar can cast Magic. So she's been studying magic to combat Jafar should he attempt to seize the throne.

Ah. Smart. So she can cast magic in the series I take it?

Yes. Albeit limited because she's self-taught. As in "No Princess Celestia as a mentor."

Ah. So being self-taught, does she sometimes make mistakes with her spells that cause problems for the gang?
