Description So I am trying to get more of a hang on what I want to do with the comic's coloring this time around.
Before I was going to do it classic monochromatic with splashes of color, but it's actually easier to full on paint with a larger color palette now. Not sure though. I want to be able to differentiate the backgrounds from the characters so that they don't blend in too much, which is my main concern~

Probably will be throwing out some more sketches like this until I get it down!

If you use colored backgrounds, they should probably be somewhat muted tones, so it doesn't feel to bright. Also, the characters seem to wear mostly white and dark grey, so light greys may be adequately distinguishable. Perhaps the colors might even be based on the sort of room. A place like this makes me think that if there's going to be color, it would be to serve a practical purpose, and not for mere 'decoration'.
But whether or not you decide to actually color the walls, there should be some way to differentiate the characters from the background, even if it's only a slight difference in hue.
I don't know. I'm just thinking out loud.

Very much true! Even for a grayscale comic I had to do this in some way though! And with this new style it will be a bit more tricky! However, slightly changing hue, saturation, and contrast levels isn't that hard to do and it should turn out fine! If not I can always go back or try out some more methods! Like the idea of color though! Then I can really let my freak flag fly!
