Firsly, i think the colours are amazing. My favourite colour composition is blue, black and white (which helps) but more importantly the way they have been used in this shot is admirable. The soft white emanating from behind the tree adds a lovely eerie effect, which is brilliantly framed by the darkening of the sky towards the edges of the photo.
The focus being on the central tree is very impacting and rather overwhelming, It's looming presence over the sheep brings intriguing malice to this piece, which is well complemented by the innocence of the sheep themselves and also by the smaller tree further along the fence.
