Description

Sloxous are not the only beings wandering between the realms of the world. Some are peaceful, others arent. One of them are even considered a Sloxous natural enemy: the Spulux.

Spulux are Soul Eaters as well - yet lazy. Preying on Sloxous filled to the brim with souls is a way easier way to get food, than hunting souls themselv. Therefor Spulux have decided, that Sloxous are their main source of food for them.

When they find a soul collecting Sloxou, they quietly ambush the Sloxou from behind. Most of the times, the only thing that predecedes the attack is a small exhale in the back of the Sloxous neck - easily mistaken to be nothing more than a small blow of wind.

Some other creatures might immidiately go for the kill, the Spulux though likes the thrill of the hunt: They show themself to their prey, giving it a chance to run away first, before they chase after it. This urge to play with their meal allows for some fast Sloxous to escape, though injuries almost always happen to them. Lucky Sloxou get away with a scratch - unlucky once rip their scrolls or might even lose their Teyshes.

Sloxou who have been injured like this, become very weak and their Teyshes lose their shine until there is nothing but a vague shimmer left. They must eat the souls they had collected to gain their strength back: In this case, the souls they ate will be erased from their scrolls after flaring up one last time. It is currently unknown, how a Sloxou decides upon which souls they should consume.

After doing so, the remaining Teyshes will turn black, infused by the negative thoughts like fear, anger, shock and hatred. It is only known for Sloxou who have white souls, to be able to retain their positive thoughts and not fall into despair.

Sloxous whose Teyshes turned black are considered "fallen" and are shunned by their fellow brethren. They are a taboo, that broke their own sole rule of existence: Do not consume the souls, before the time is right to ascend to their Celestial Form. Their duty as soul collectors has been tainted and they can no longer collect souls.

Fallen Sloxous can no longer reach their "Celestial Form" and are doomed to wander around, unable to reach either heaven or hell. Many of those poor creatures are bound to go insane or evil. Only few attempt to live like this, but most prefer to hide in solitude for all of eternity.
