Since she goes through only one colour change in her lifetime, shouldn't the change be a bit more different than her original colours?

I think this one looks the best; the colors aren't explosively 'out there', and... I dunno, they just seem to fit.

Hmm . the patterns on this one are much better, but I personally liked the gradation of colors you had on the fourth sketch you made.
Maybe, if you combined these two together, you might hit something interesting?
