"You see it all the time on furry, fantasy, and anime chat clients and Second Life. Perfectly sculpted bodies, thin-but-muscular or slim-yet-curvy builds, impossible body types. That NONE of us have in real life. If we do, we're in the vast minority. So I challenge you, take a photo of yourself, fully clothed or in your skivvies. Trace your body type and marks exactly, blemishes, scars and all. Then apply your character to the form. So whether or not I'm really comfortable with myself, I really wanted to build up the confidence to upload it. ^^
I'm proud of myself for uploading it, and hopefully I won't chicken out and hide it XD

Ok, I'm a bit confused with the Anthro-Furry concept, Anthro being more tribal, Furries being more modern, social creatures. Maybe you can help me out?
A wolf anthro eats deer anthro, yes? If Furries eat 'human' food in a modern society, wouldn't they be eating, like, cheeseburgers made of their best friend's brethren? And when it comes to Furry/Anthro couples (like a cat furry falling in love with a dog furry), how they hell do they reproduce?
I've sort of come to the conclusion that Anthros are a general species of human-animals and the different animal types are the races. Furries are a more modern version of Anthros and so inter-racial couples - something, i assume, would be considered taboo in tribal anthro culture (why befriend the creatures you hunt?) - are more accepted amongst Furries. And i've seen some pictures of Furries with feral pets, so i'm wondering if this Anthro-Furry dimension has feral creatures of different species without human intelligence too.
Does that make any sense?

You've gotta trace your body, then make it your chara.. AKA, if your character has a tail,add it on. Etc etc. Do ya get what I mean?

I like this style in fursona-art, not just memes. When I draw my boyfriend's 'sona, I usually draw it to kind of look like him--a bump on the muzzle (his nose has been broken and re-broken), his body type (tall, mostly skinny, with a bit of a belly), and so on. I think the imperfections bring realism. I never post most of what I draw, though.. v.v

I have been seriously insecure about myself for years now. I definitely am not a skinny model type and have hated that about myself for a long time. But seeing this actually made me have a revelation, and I REALLY looked at myself, not my weight. Thank you for posting this. I will definitely be doing one of these :3

As you can see, I hate super skinny girls. I don't know why, because I'm a super skinny guy (which is more or less the equiv of a huskier girl, being small for guys is not the best). Girls should be squishy when you cuddle them, not be poked by a rib-bone x3

this is beautiful! and a wonderful idea! honestly i find things that are believable are more beautiful, a healthy looking person looks much more attractive than a pole or someone who looks like they live at a plastic surgeouns office *or the gym, get a life, have some chips or smthng!*
this is a beautiful picture, i dont think it needs a mature content thing either... it has a positive message of body/self confidence, whether it is anthro or not *all the better, not afraid of being different, or adding a little flair to it

I didnt have a quality camera (cell phone) so I couldnt see any marks on myself (dont think I have any really anyway... :/ ) but yeah, didnt touchup my body at all..(I would have given more boobs and less side bumpage)

Wow. Like so many others who commented on here, I have a lot of respect for you for doing this. With all these artists drawing the thin and perfect characters gives certain people a delusion to what people really look like.
I can relate. Being larger than the average girl is hard. :/ Especially when you seem to meet so many shallow people who just think you're 'fat'.
But, as I said, I give you respect and many kudos for being brave enough to do this.

'Cause we all take pride in our Oc's since they are our ideal selves, and truth being the fact that their not that far from being us to begin with (since their core self is typically the same).
