However, she can be passionate and sometimes used those strong feelings to gather the courage to speak up or to act. She has the strength to break her shell or come out. Roxanne was born to a couple who did not start out rich. A huge and strong Pangoro have strong feelings for a beautiful and elegant Mienshao. She felt the same but she came from a traditional high class family who did not agree with her love interest as he was a commoner and a brute. Their daughter was independent and would not have her family tell her who to marry. The couple got together and even without the support of her wealthy family, they were happy and confident with their future together.

They started their own business at Snowpoint City. With the strong leadership of Roxy's father, the business was a gym to help and keep the quiet city active. With the knowledge of Roxy's mother, she learned to preform massage therapy and yoga instruction. The gym then provided a relaxing massage session to treat those exhausted sore muscles their customers have after workout and yoga classes for those who need to release some stress. The business was getting popular and bigger in the city. The gym even included a hot spring, bringing in more customers from the chilly cold.

Roxanne was born on a cold December morning. Her parents were supportive and love her, so she lived a happy childhood. She gain a liking to ballet and would pretend to be a gorgeous ballerina. She would run around the gym in a tutu and a crown, inviting customers to dance with her. Her favorite was her father as he was always happy to dance with his little princess. It shows how not scary her father looked.

As Roxy grew up, the business was getting popular and eventually brought in tourists and wealthy families. Roxy was entering her teenage years and a new school. Nervous and frightened by a new and bigger environment, she was quick to make new friends. When she invited them to her home to hang out, they were surprised by how big the house was and how wealthy Roxy's family was becoming. It wasn't long until Roxy got more friends and started asking for things, like telling Roxy to give gifts because they been friends for a week like what. She was smart to sense she was being taken advantage of and only gaining friends because of her family's growing wealth. Roxy politely reject them and rather have friends who befriend her for her. Of course, they took it harshly and rumors started to spread. These rumors were horrible and bad news. Roxy heard whispers behind her back and lost friends. She started to become quiet and scared.

Before Roxy can feel completely alone at school, a cheerful student, a Mudkip, came to her aid. The Mudkip was named CC and she became the true friend Roxy hoped for. They became best friends, but Roxy still get the unwanted attention from other students so CC was her only friend to trust. Roxy worried about CC being with her, but the Mudkip was brave and didn't care what anyone else thinks. The two would practice ballet together and go ice skating at the lake outside the city. She also kept a smile when with family as they always cheer her up.

Of course, like any young teen, they developed crushes. Roxy had her eyes on a young handsome student in her class. But with her rep with the other students still going on, she felt she had no chance. Until one day she got a letter from him asking her to go to the school's dance with her. Thrilled and happy, she was eager for the dance. Spending so much time picking the right dress and fixing her hair. She waited for him, it was getting late, until CC came over with a note in her hands and a upset look. The note said it was all a prank. Seeing their daughter heartbroken and humiliated, Roxy's parents wanted to act. They were going to teach the boy a lesson, but they were told by CC its not one person its most of the student body. Looking for a solution, Roxy's mother told about St Mortiel, a Academy in Hearthome City. A fresh start in a new school with proper kids who wouldn't treat her differently because of her wealth.
