So there is a new event going on in Armonia where it's basically Pirates VS. Mermons, the entire island has been flooded over completely, and apparently there is now a previously unknown underwater and ancient castle fit for looting.
Yep.
Just another day at school.

Anyway, Marionette has a deep seated fear for the ocean, or any large body of water really, so when the island was being engulfed by all the water the tiny little candle panicked and ran, thinking that it was coming to drag her back down into its murky depths to be trapped for all eternity. She was thus separated from all her friends and fellow students and went to go hide in the school's highest tower, but even that was not enough to keep the sea from reaching her.

Thankfully, the Manaphy came along and turned Marionette in a Mermon to save her from having to experience entrapment via water a second time. Now that she no longer has to worry about her wax hardening due to a lack of oxygen and heat to keep her insides molten, Marionette is much more comfortable being in a big body of water.
Being as small as she is though, the girl tends to keep to large groups of friendly fish, hanging on to their fins as they swim their way in the schools. With her fear set aside for now in this form, Marionette is now able to explore the beauty of the undersea world and have a bit of fun too. However, she often comes up to the surface to sun bathe on top of the rocks when she can for a bit of a nap and rest from all the potential dangers below.

Getting around to see Harlie though has become a bit harder.
With him being a pirate and all.
There are some who take the pirate vs mermon rivalry seriously, so approaching the pirate ship has been a bit dangerous to an extent. Their forbidden love though is still going strong, and they manage to meet up every once in a while upon the occasional deserted island.

With Marionette being fused with a Lanturn, the girl now knows:
--- Aqua Ring
--- Bubble Beam
