I think this is finished? I may go back and do a little bit more, especially around his mouth, but I really wanted to show you guys now! What do you think?Unfortunately the scanner didn't do a great job scanning it.. (I'll see if i can take a photo that's better)

I think your finished. The details good, the colour and shading is good. I don't think you need to add anything else to it.
Maybe try a darker background next time. I find it makes it stand out better but the painting itself doesn't need anything else.

I know what you mean. You can never get the fur back to how it was if you start messing about with the background after you've finished the painting. I do exactly the same. Just a thought for next time
